    I second that
If Tyson had problems with taller fighters....wouldnt he have like 50-odd losses on his record because, well most of the time he was the shorter fighter?????
in fact the only fighter he fought who was shorter than him was Orlin Norris (i think)

Having problems doesn't mean losing... But of course he was almost always the smaller fighter, but he usually had more problems the bigger his opponent was.

Why is Wlad nowadays still considered so vastly inferior to his brother@prime? In each Klit vs classic fighter thead I read that the classic fighter simply has to land one meaningful shot and it's over for Wlad whereas Vitali would pose a real challenge.
Is a granite chin the most essential quality of a boxer? Wlad has brought his defense to perfection for a heavyweight making his chin issues almost irrelevant. His chin has not been touched for 5 years now despite B+ opponents so why is his chin still the number one argument against him in phantasy match ups? Chagaev and Chambers, two legitimate and skilled contenders, were not able to connect one impressive power punch - not a single one!
In my opinion Wladimir 2009/2010 is a least equal to Vitali 2003/2004 on a head 2 head basis.

And yet he had only 2 decission wins past 10 years. Wlad by brutal KO.
If you suggest that ruddock can hendle that kind of beating that one of the best chined journeymen took you are delusional. Purity was nothing more than journeyman but he had incredible jaw. And remeber that it was not the same version of wlad. I doubt Ruddock would survive 5 rounds as Brewster did.

Sounds about right. Granted, the Klitschkos have improved in recent years, but neither brother has faced the kind of fighter and power that Razor has with the exception of Lennox Lewis, maybe Tua.

I dare say the boxing world never really saw what a focused Ruddock could do without the domestic crap he went through, not treating his asthma properly and trying to reverse a vasectomy. He was in very good shape, both times against Tyson, but tried foolishly to knock him out with the left-hook-uppercut smash. Ruddock got his nickname because his jab was considered one of the best in the heavyweight divsion since Larry Holmes at that time. Sadly he failed to use it in his most important matches. Ruddock did the same thing against Lewis, believing he was the better fighter, didn't set up his punches with his jab, kept his hands at midriff and got knocked out in two rounds.

The Klitschko's have the skills to defeat Ruddock but I wouldn't bet on it, considering their performances against Lamon Brewster and Chris Byrd. Razor KO's both inside 10 rounds. I also wouldn't bet on David Haye making it to round 6 against a prime Ruddock.

    An IF fight..

If Ruddock lands "The Smash" against either one it's over.
Razor defo has the superior chin over both (Haye & Wlad), IMO.

    I say Razor K.O.'s Haye & Wlad.
Vitali takes him 12rds & wins a decision.

You're entitled to your opinion, no matter how flawed or stupid it is.

To suggest a fighter like Donovan Ruddock wouldn't have a legitimate chance of finding Wladimir's delicate chin is dismissive.

This has got some serious comic relief bits in here. We're talking the Klitschkos and David Haye folks. None of these fighters have faced anyone with the power of Ruddock and I don't see how any of them make it more than 10 rounds with Razor.

Razor's chin wasn't great but his powers of recovery where from the top draw. You wouldn't see either Haye or Wladimir even attempt to get up from the shots he took in Tyson I and II. Not to mention this one.

  13. Here, I have another question for you.

Why would we subject Ruddock to fantasy matchups at all?? When I was a kid he was one of my favorites, but the guy amounted to jack squat when it was all said and done. He had great power and a beastly uppercut but lacked the skills to land on A-level heavyweights.

I'm sticking to my opinions on what would happen in those fantasy matchups, and even though you and I only disagree on how the fight with Wlad would go, I'm gonna go ahead and not spend any more of my precious time on this. KTHXBYE.

Really all you have is insults you have no knowledge nothing to back up the point you try to make... So again who were all these great fighters Ruddock beat... But hey anybody stupid enough to pick Ruddock to win when he steps up in competition shows either how little knowledge you have or how biased you are for ruddock, His history says it all, he was a fighter who lost badly every time he stepped up.
