how does it go>????? i know alot of klit fans dog ruddock for loosing to morrison in 1995...but if it were 4 yrs earlier how does it???
Fighting Razor Ruddock anytime between 1989 and 1992 would have been a whole different ball game for Morrison, as opposed to their actual meeting in 1995. Ruddock was in his twenties, prime, fighting actively, and had not yet compiled the kind of personal problems outside the ring that would later be an issue... If we look at the 1995 meeting, Ruddock was now in his early thirties, and had only fought once in two and half years, barely beating a journeyman going into the Morrison fight.. He still managed to deck Tommy and may have been the victim of an early stoppage... In 1991 or therabouts however, I'd be looking for Ruddock to win by knockout..
I'm not so sure about this bout. By 95, Morrison had a lot of mileage on that odometer. And all those surgeries to factor in. Any sort of subtraction from a 100% Morrison is huge. How the guy ever managed to comeback from that Mercer fight to accomplish anything is a minor miracle anyway. 91 Morrison had much much faster hands. A lot of snap early. Did anyone else ever go to a Ruddock fight live? He's the biggest telegrapher I've ever seen. And the slowest. Worse than Bazooka Limon even. He'd dip to the side slowly to launch that smash of his and everyone in the arena saw it coming. And, of course there was only the 1 punch. If these guys fought each other 3x between 91 and 95, neither is going 3-0 because both have fatal flaws that cause losses. But it would have been fun to watch a couple of gunslingers go at it a few more times. Another big question I have is the Morrison corner w/ Virgets. Sometimes they did a really good job with him. Sometimes they did a poor job. The only way Morrison can win is obviously the instances the corner was top shelf.
Congratulations, this is a match up where I would favor Ruddock, and probably by brutal clownish knockout. Morrison would jump on him, run into his first or something, stagger around the ring ,fall down a few times, end of the night. I'm a Klitschko fan but no denying Ruddock was horrible against Morrison. You were probably just being an ******* in general, probably talking **** like "Ruddock would KO both Bros in 1 blah blah blah, be undisputed in this weak era" So they clowned your boy for getting beat up by Morrison. Its called trash talking, if you can't take it don't dish it.
I pick Ruddock in this scenario. When they actually met,Razor was n't as durable as he was a few years earlier. This would make the difference.
