Razor Ruddock vs Tommy Morrison?

Razor by KO in a short explosive war. The Ruddock that stood toe to toe with Tyson should have enough to beat Morrison. Morrison is a big puncher but who’s the best fighter Morrison actually knocked cold? I’m not sure Morrison would beat the versions of Bonecrusher and Dokes that Ruddock did in all honestly. Morrison was getting beaten by the decomposing glass chinned shell of Carl Williams for a min, Williams dropped him twice!! Yuri Vaulin rocked Morrison! Morrison went life and death with Joe Hipp!!! He was knocked out in 1 round by light hitting Michael Bentt!!! Ruddock lost to Tyson and Lewis while in his prime, no shame there. Most know about the Jaco loss so I don’t consider it.

 

The myth of "91 ruddock" is as funny as "prime 86-88 Tyson". Every one who overrate this version of ruddock is a Tyson fanatic. Lennox lewis would destroy every single version of ruddock and Morrison probably would ko him again

Morrison was very active when they met, having fought 4 times in the previous year. Ruddock had fought once in three years.

 

well for the record. I rated Ruddock pretty highly at the time and am no fan of Tyson FYI.

I agree Lewis always beats him, big deal Lewis always beats Morrison too, so what’s your point.

Morrison lost to and struggled with fighters no where near Ruddock at his best, at his best Ruddock lost to Lewis and Tyson.

Would you expect Ruddock to lose ko1 to Michael Bentt or go to war with Joe Hipp??? Or almost get stopped by a totally washed version of Carl Williams??

I have no problem with people picking Morrison this is a fight between two big punchers both who had questionable punch resistance. But Ruddock at one point was thought to be one of 2 or 3 best in the division, Morrison never was.

 

Well there is no better point here than the fact that morrison destroyed him when they fought for real and ruddock was no ancient exactly, if morrison landed this shot on 91 ruddock he is going down too.

 

Hmm I just don’t see it. Ruddock was over weight and had been out of the ring when they fought he was at the end and still dropped Tommy with a nothing right uppercut.

so do you not consider Lewis beating Ruddock a big win then since you seem to not think Ruddock is any good?

 

A big win? Lewis smashed him like an insect, it just proved that 90s Tyson and him are overrated.

 

And Morrison was past prime while drinking and having AIDS but Ruddock past prime after 2 fights with Tyson is laughable!
Ruddock had poor defense and weak chin!Tommy would knock him anytime with that left hook or uppercut no matter how you defend black fighters and Tyson as his fan!

Ruddock just dropped Morrison but did not knocked him unlike Tommy who KOed him!
Morrison would beat Ruddock anytime!Even past prime Morrison with HIV lasted 6 rounds with prime Lewis which Ruddock couldn't!
Morruson was drug and alchohol abuser and had AIDS while fighting Ruddock and was in much worse shape than Ruddock!

 

Tyson stupid fans still thinks Ruddock is harder puncher than Foreman and was ducked by anyone just to prove Tyson beat someone and could defeat Foreman!But Ruddock was overrated bum built his name with two Tyson fights!
Nit only Foreman was stronger but had better chin also!

Morrison was greater and would beat Ruddock!Ruddock lost to bum Jaco whom Morrison and old Foreman beat in 1st round which even Tyson could not!

Well in case you weren’t around watching boxing live at the time it was a huge win for Lewis, most thought Ruddock would beat him. It was a heavyweight elimination final 4. Bowe- Holyfield and Lewis - Ruddock. Many believed when the smoke cleared Ruddock would be left standing. Whether you personally in 2020 think he is good or not the fact is at the time of the Lewis fight he was thought to be one of the best in the division.

 

Tillis was shot and already had like 15 losses when he fought Morrison. Williams was also shot and still almost beat Morrison.

Ruddock destroyed Lakusta in 1 round Morrison went the distance with Lakusta so Ruddock must be better.
