I want to hear your opiniom of those fights and their ends! Razor vs Bruno Razor vs Stewart Razor vs McCall Razor vs Bert
How he would TKo McCall with iron chin and how he would tko Cooper who was never knocked out? Cooper also had chin of iron!
I think he KO Bruno and Stewart! McCall is 50/50! Cooper would KO him ala Morrison! Cooper unlike Morrison had same power but better defense, chin and stamina!
Razor kos Bruno in 7. Frank comes in excellent condition as usual and his thumping Jab has Ruddock looking ineffective for long stretches. But like the Lewis fight, Frank gets blasted and drops his guard. Ruddock drops Alex within seconds and has him desperately trying to fight back. But RR finishes him soon after. Ruddock ko 2. Mccall takes Razors best shots, drives his own in thru his guard and stops him, while behind in the ninth round. Mccall wko 9. Cooper. He could pull off the win, he had Holyfield nearly down and nearly kod Moorer. I think this comes down to who wants it most and who digs in to win. Gun to head, I'll go Ruddock stops him on his feet after being dropped himself.
I don't mind these picks, except Cooper did not excel against big heavyweights. Bowe, Sandsrs, and Foreman all made short work of him. He beat good cruiser types like Tillman, Norris, and Nate Jones and gave Moorer and Holyfield hell. Ruddock decidedly belongs to the first group and would smoke Cooper. It's the exact same issue Frazier had with Foreman from a guy who was basically a second or third rate version of Frazier.
- Ruddock KO's Bruno late (probably being behind on points) - Ruddock KO's Stewart in a war - McCall KO's Ruddock late while trailing on judges cards - Cooper KO's Ruddock in the mid rounds
All of them were taller than Ruddock, altough not by much. Bowe was on completely another level comparing to Ruddock skillwise and was MUCH more versatile two-handed offensive monster. Sanders was much quicker than Ruddock and had very unorthodox style fighting from the southpaw stance. Foreman was ATG heavyweight with one of the best chins in the history of boxing. Ruddock chin was far from good.
I was most unsure regarding the Cooper fight. I know he could fail on the big occasion s but as he showed against Moorer and Mercer - could be an handful.
You're the worst. Ruddock was a bonafide super heavyweight. Just watch his fights. Foreman was no ATG when he beat Cooper, although Cooper was a coked out mess for that fight. Ruddock stylistically was right in the middle of Bowe, Sanders, and Old Foreman. Cooper failed against all of them despite them having differences other than being much bigger than him physically and carrying power. Ruddock probably had more one shot power than any of them.
Ruddock had more one shot power than Foreman? Interesting claim. Anyway, I'm aware that Cooper had problems with taller guys (add Carl Williams to that list). Stylistically though Ruddock wasn't close to Sanders in any way, as Razor was slow like hell and relied on one shot (unlike Sanders, who could throw many quick punches). If anything, Ruddock is closer to Big George in terms of speed and punching power, but with far worse chin.
