Donovan vs Ike: Who wins and how? Both men on their best day, btw.

Based on what I saw from from both fighters, I'd picked Ike by mid round KO. Ruddock was basically just a clubber with great power but weak chin.
Ibeabuchi in my opinion had all the physical
Ingredients to be a legendary ATG fighter. Skill, size, chin, stamina, work rate, heart and power. It's too bad he was a headcase.

    Very good match-up.

Its weird how early in his career, Ruddock was said to be more of a boxer rather than noted for his power yet after he scored a couple of big KO's against a couple of former champs, Bonecrusher Smith and Michael Dokes, its like he suddenly went left hook/uppercut crazy. As for his weak chin, I don't know. I always thought that the 2 slugging matches he had against Tyson ruined him. Still had the power but punch resistance never seemed the same again after Tyson. As good a puncher as Lennox Lewis was, it was still a surprise how badly affected Ruddock was by his punches.

Ibeabuchi gets my vote here as well but its gonna be a brutal fight.

Ruddock didn't have a weak chin. It wasn't top shelf, but it wasn't weak either. He was a durable slugger that was very dangerous. Look at his losses - Tyson, Lewis, Morrison, that's top tier power right there.

Tough call since Ike never fought anyone with the size and strength of Ruddock.

I feel Ruddock was more wily, risky, dangerous, and vulnerable. tough one.
Ruddock took all Tyson could give, Ruddock TKO8 or UD.

The President veto's Ruddock's bill proposal to launch the smash and overrides him by landslide vote.

The only winner in my book is Ike Ibeabuchi. He would do what Lennox Lewis did Blast Razor outta there. We never got to see the best of Ike. I watched him from the day he walked into Curtis Cokes Home of Champions gym fresh from Nigeria throughout his career . In my book Ike was the natural successor to Lennox Lewis, the Klitschko;s would be in obscurity now. But that was never to be thanks to a vegas hooker

It's fuc.ked that he's still in jail for a crime that is basically the same as the one Tyson committed but got only 3 years for.

Huh? According to these sources reports, he attacked woman multiple times, with other allegations. A massive HW. Abducted a kid & crashed the car leading to permanent injuries.
Actually seemed to believe he was President of the World & needed to be persuaded to be noble & help his Subjects to even be functional.

He was not just your standard issue biploar man. He was dangerous & violent. Tyson claimed he did many bad things but not the ****. Who knows, but I could see him innocent there. Not Ike, who had to be force medicaited just to be sane enough to be sentenced.

He was not an innocent or merely misunderstood man. He did real damage. Likely would have done a lot more if he never served time in the cuckoo house & jail.

I know about ibeabuchi's history and know what kind of a sick, demented person he is. I'm just saying the crime he was convicted of was similar in nature to what Tyson was found guilty of and he's still in jail.

I do not agree with your implication that Tyson is an innocent or misunderstood person. In my opinion he did **** Desiree Washingston. His rap sheet in and out of the ring shows that he is a piece if **** through and through.
This recent charade he is doing for monetary sake shouldn't fool anyone.

It will just be speculation ,but Ike looked the business, his work rate and punch resistance impressed me,I think he may wear Ruddock down in the later rounds and either score a stoppage or take a dec.

Ruddock had an excellent jab which Floyd Patterson, his trainer for a while, implored him to utilise more often but he willfully ignored him and resorted to trying to take everyone out with his Smash.
He lacked the technique to set up kos against the top guys and seemed too lazy and impatient to learn.
Ike is pretty much an ice berg we'll never know what talent was there waiting to be exposed.
His mental issues cut short a very promising career.

Mental issues seems to have curtailed another's gallop very recently:lol:
Hey Ho.Its all part of life's rich pageant.:yep

I have never met Tyson but my impression of him is that he is a piece of ****.Assault claims by young girls were being bought off when he was still a young man.
D'Amato let him run riot because he knew the talent that was under the surface waiting to be mined.
Atlas saw the real Tyson and didn't think much of it
Tyson gets no pass from me for his track record and his recent "cuddly " re- invention of himself is a facile money-making exercise imo.

Hooker or not ,no woman deserves to be treated like that.
I feel sorry for his cell mate, but not for him.

FJ, I did NOT imply that Tyson was innocent or misunderstood. Go back & see what I wrote. "Who knows, but I can see him innocent there" means I reserve judgement due to lack of evidence. It was he said she said, statistically most accused tend to be guilty, but not nearly always, especially an aggrieved party against the rich & famous with possible rewards in the offing. I have heard of Tyson mistreating woman & a gropinator (sic, very), but that does not prove **** or a particular ****.

That said, he was overall a bad & screwed up person.
Though I also do not know that he is unchanged through the years & it is all about money. Some change & get better, remorse, good will, Forman while never Pure Evil or converted to a Saint is an example.
