To begin a new month we get a Boxingraise card, live from the Korakuen Hall promoted by Kadoebi Houseki. Bout 1- Chikato Sumida (0-1) Vs Kosuke Moriya (0-0) In round 3 now and it's just a bit of a slop fest, both show some very early signs and tiny bits of talent but the inexperience of both is one show. Southpaw Moriya started well but is struggling now. Sumida seemed lost with the southpaw stance early but is now just walking Moriya down. Been numerous cases of the guys falling into each other and going down together.
Round 4- Sumida just walking his man down, big body shots, Moriya has nothing left and is in survival mode, manages to see the bell. Sumida deserves the win. ...and he gets the win!
Bout 2- Kazuki Saito (1-0, 1) Vs Petchmahalert Eminent Air (0-3) / (9-6-1, 4) Petchmahalert is 0-3 on boxrec but Japanese sources list him as 9-6-1 (3). Sait is very highly regarded as a prospect
1- Saito on the front foot and looking sharp...lands a few rigth hands, Thai down after about 30 seconds. There is some fight in the visitor but Saito is walking him down, crumching body shot from Saito, lovely hand speed from Saito, cracking right hand, he's picking some lovely shots here Saito, another spiteful body shot. 10-8 Saito Some defensive flaws to work on but a good start
2-Slow start here with the Thai happy to hold, not really helping him much with Saito landing some hurtful body shots, the Thai is showing some survival skills here and starting to frustrate Saito a bit-likely why they picked him, lots of holding and spoiling by the visitor, solid body shot from Saito and the Thai holds.
3-Saito coming forward and the Thai continuing to spoil and make Saito look bad, not the sort of thing Saito's team would have been wanting really, he's in control but the Thai is landing a bit more and is being very a spoiler.... oh Boooom! Big shot from Saito and the Thai is flat down for the 10 count! Saito needed that before it dragged out any longer.
Round 1-Thai showed some early ambition but he's been dropped, Koike in for the kill and the Thai down again, ref tells him to get up at the count of 8, down again and over.
1-The Thai using some peculiar OTT style movement,lands a right hand, gets tagged, a big right from the Thai kinda misses and he falls forward on to his own face-up quickly, Thai goes down from a push, messy opening round and the crowd have no interest at all Tha looks like a guy carrying some clear extra weight,
2-Sakamoto much more positive here and he's looking to hurt his man, Sakamoto looks totally inept and has spent the round back tracking, being tagged and generally looking poor. Sakamoto in control after getting out of neutral.
3-Sakamoto on the hunt, this could be over soon with the local letting his hands go ....down goes the Thai from a looping shot, Sakamoto keepsup the pressure and the Thai throws himself down, the attack continues and it's over!
5th bout- Takenori Ohashi (12-4-2, 8) v Takahiro Araki (9-5, 4) Both have JBC rankings coming in to this one
