Wish the Klit-Chag fight was on Setanta tommorrow night, can't listen to these twats on Sky they are rubbish
Bang on, cheers bro, no matters really. Yep, Burns was sideways. I noticed Kevin Maree in the corner. I wonder if Jeff T went, he asked a cpl days ago if i was down. Buzzed him before the fight. No reply, he usually quick on the replys. The arena dont have reception. **** knows , maybe he on the **** at home. Anyways, i can see how people are pissed off, Irish, i mean. I gave him a cpl, as i said, as much as O Hara came forward, i reckon all that lost him that fight was his lunging misses, Eg. looked sloppy. Anyways Burns got through it. I gaurantee, if he had been poleaxed by someone with a punch in the first round, you would have seen Burns dance , box and win easily. There wasnt really a threat, he was winding the punches up, rarely threw a combo, well not as he has, no range, no movement... Bad night for him, they all have them. Onwards and upwards. Frustrating to some extent as he could of made it so easy. Esy to say sitting here i know.
Same, as i says maself, Watt who i generally cant be ****ed with ( bitter ) was really on the ball and even in the papers and prefight he was quite positive regarding Burns. His summary is perfect. Nelsons " concrete the wee *******" was nearly on par wi Dglassgaws " i will iron ya chin out! " to Derry Matthews here I did notice he didnt get to comentate the fight ( Watt ) wonder if theres a reason for that, certainly wouldnt be cause he biased when scottish fighters are on.
Just back from the fight and the atmosphere was good as were the ringcard girls!! I thought O'Hara seemed more of a spoiler. Burns didn't fight his best fight but I think this was down largely to O'Hara's style. When Burns stood back and actually boxed he looked good at times. However, I feel O'Hara made Burns fight in a style he didn't like and only his many looping misses made sure that he didn't win. It was tight and Ricky didn't fight his best but I feel he just edged it.
The spoiling i presumed Johnp meant the rashness. Regarding the holding, i was surprised to see Burns do a bit more than before, regarding infighting, if you call it so. I loved how O Hara came forward but 1 dimensional a lot, and he tied up just as quick as Burns would, which surprised me. Johnp, the ringcard girls are ****in sweet eh , usually you get adverts if its on telly, least ya get some fine ass when its live. Glad you enjoyed the night. The atmosphere was ****all compared to the Gomez fight, but thats a given i guess. I was actually a bit surprised at this. I didnt see Benny King either. You get any pics etc ?
Fraid not, Hairyboy don't have a camera and the one on my phone is as useful as a spare **** in a threesome!! What I meant by "spoiler" is that his tactic was to disrupt Burns and then knock him out, not winning by using pure boxing skill but by out-right fighting and brawling. I don't mean this as a criticism of O'Hara, any boxer fighting another who is more skilled than themself would use the same tactic. He was hoping his power and scrappiness would overwhelm Burns IMO.
