RBR Calderon vs. Mayol card

Just calling him out on it. Either he is very unknowledgable of he's just trying to get a rise out of me. Either way, it wasn't a very well thought out post.

 

Why is Pernell Whitaker being mentioned in this thread? Has someone tried to draw comparisons between him and Calderon - I don't see very many?

Anyone who says Pernell Whitaker wasted his career by turning to drugs cannot be taken seriously.

 

just to show you the Calderon mentality and prove he is looking for money, not to keep his 0, his words after the fight were: "People keep asking when am I going to unify. they don't understand the other champions don't want to fight me. I will fight either Sosa or Viloria anytime, anywhere".

 

I'm simply responding to what is being posted by others.

 

He could even achieve moe in his carrer if not for his drug addiction adn his lack of motivation, He could even beat Hoya easy if not for His lack of spotmanship. He is a legend yes, because He is a legend a a lot of people was on his nuts, do not deserve to be critizised, not at all e was still very capable and could achieve more.

 

Not surprised Mayol has had 4 losses at title fight, he is never that good. He lossed badly to Kyowa and Solis.So I thougtht Calderun would be too elusive and boxs circles around him.I guess not.Calderun should retire now because he is old not but we'll miss him..Good lil fighter tho.

Maybe he could've achieved a tad more, probably not, though. By the time his career was spiraling downwards due to drugs he was already starting to slip anyway. The drugs just sped up his decline a bit. He didn't "waste" anything.

 

carita is an average fighter with who became a champ by experience learned throughout his career...it's not that shocking that he lost to an good undefeating much younger fighter. The guy was 37 and many good undefeated prospects would've had a good chance in beating him. Still a great win for the young pinoy..no doubt. Btw...i don't know many Ricans who felt confident enough to bet on him...we were surprise that he won it in the 1st place.

 

How did you score De La Hoya vs Whitaker? Just out of curiosity.

 

Now tell me, why 'm intoxicated becase I'm writting my opinion of His carrer if you think He could not achieve more well that's you for me seing His carrer I now He was more capable of doing more, opinions are opinions so shut up. He do a lot but with his talent He was capable of doing more, still He ended his carer in a bad way so that's alone deserve critizisim.

 

Mayol technique in the fight is called fanning the champ...Calderon was enjoying the cool breeze coming from Mayol's missing punches
