He is getting a lot of flack for fighting a lot of no hopers. His father did the exact same thing, but when he turned it up he beat the best fighters in his weight class. I don't think Junior is as good as his father or ever will be, but I quite like the idea of a 23 year old having 40 fighters under his belt before he steps up his competition. Maybe that is the best way it should be done?
Im not a JCC Jr fan, but I think he gets more **** for it because hes always headlining these small PPV cards. Perhaps hardcore fans take it as an insult, but hey, nobody's forcing them to buy it.
rd.6 Mayol (clear) - Calderon didnt land anything, these commentators are all over Ivan's balls, they are giving more points for punches missed over punches thrown 4-2 Mayol
So first, you didn't give Vargas the rounds vs. Nietes because you called his aggression "ineffective". Now you are giving Mayol the rounds, even though his aggression is even more ineffective. Do we have a biased Filipino giving us the round by rounds? No ****, Sherlock.
Did you watch that fight? Nietes was throwing and landing, Calderon isnt throwing and landing hes just making Mayol miss. How can you give points to someone who doesnt throw a punch.
Jr looked poised and balanced today. He didnt rush in he waited for Jason to jump inside and when he did JR tood advantage going back with a left hook. Then after jason got up Jr took the offensive and finished the fight, hes looking like a solid contender.
