I think Morales would've beaten him relatively easily to be honest. But the best thing about Crolla is he's still improving.
I tend to agree, Cano was giving him all sorts of problems throughout the fight and especially before his face fell apart.
Yes. :deal Crolla > Cano (even though on the night, Crolla was made to look like he was treading water by Juan Montiel...mainly because he's got a bit too much of the macho dumbness in him to box when invited to brawl).
Gradings for the full BN card: Crolla: B+ ...did all he should have, but Limond really wasn't up to much and Crolla didn't exactly press for the kill. Simmons: B- ...did the job, won all six rounds on most cards and still didn't lose one on the ref's...but got hit too much, and honestly the door may have been ajar for a stoppage for him as well with a bit of a gear shift (if only a British referee stoppage). Thain: A- ...pure class. Matched the result of several peers, and maybe looked better in doing so than any against Spence. Really nice boxing for someone with only thirteen pro rounds under their belt. So he isn't a puncher? Big deal. He could have a future (more so than Simmons, who packs a wallop but will probably turn into an Olubamiwo type) Hall - A ...scored a mild upset after most had written him off, and really showed off his preparation in his stamina and sticking to game plan. A pressure clinic put on against someone too green and soft to know how to react. Didn't try to overreach and do more than he was capable of, stayed within himself and stuck to what worked. Hall really seized the day, knowing the stakes. Highly creditable win, even if Carslaw never pans out to be any great shakes.
I disagree, Crolla would struggle badly against Morales, you saw against that mexican on the undercard how much learning Crolla still has, he would get given a boxing lesson, doesnt have the power or skills to gain Morales respect and attention. Would like to see him against Kevin Mitchell, winner gets Burns.
More power & skills than Pablo Cesar Cano, who held Morales' respect and attention for several rounds (and who probably would have struggled on the night with Juan Montiel as well).
