Anthony bows his head and rushes in, trying to land something up top before grabbing at the end of the collision. Right hands by Anthony are just groping without taking measure, missing Simmons' head. Anthony is put in the corner with a 1-2 and tries to fight his way out when Simmons slows down and guards up. Anthony is hunching up and rolling back into a corner as Simmons pours on the 1-2. Right hands go over Anthony's head as Simmons can't seem to drop his plane of attack to find him.

Anthony is going for it, hooking up high and pushing out line drive rights. Good right to the body by Anthony. Solid, strong punches by Anthony coming forward. Simmons isn't throwing anything, just staying tall and blocking. A few jabs now by Simmons. BIG right hand. Anthony's back on the ropes. Anthony surges forward and smacks the body with a low right! Another! Simmons is straightened up and guarding. Simmons hops along to his left, repositioning. Anthony lands body shots and grabs Simmons about the waist as though going for a waltz dip. Big right hands by Anthony crashing into the guard as Simmons comes forward and misses his own rights high over that bowed head. Lots of hugging. Jab to the body by Anthony, countered high by Simmons.

Got to say I agree. For a high-guarder he's a bit of a mong defensively. No adaptability whatsoever.

Thain's the far better Scottish prospect based on tonight. (although he's on the other end of the spectrum from Simmons in terms of raw power)
