3-Kimura pressing a bit more and getting a nice combination off, Hisano tags him late This bout has not got my focus at all, sorry folks...
4-Really have no focus...think we've just had a headclash, guy in black shorts backs off in pain, fight resumes but nothing of any real quality from either man *Massive brain fart, not sure if Hisano is in white any more...can I just go back to bed...
5-Hisano dropped, and commentator gets very excited, the highlight of a very forgettable fight so far, Kimura going for a finish in the final moments but nothing...Oh, oh boy I think Hisano may have a broken jaw, blood from his mouth, mis-shaped face... This should have been on before Tamura, a real balls up with the pacing there
6-Whether he's a damaged man or not Hisano wants a win and lands several quality shots early in the round, Hisano tagged but fires back, he really is trying to turn this around, Kimura still looks so much more physically imposing though.
1-Technical start from both guys, Kimura looking a little bit sharper in the opening moments but both guys keeping it at mid range and landing jabs and straights, nice body shot from Kimura, Kimura showing the bit of extra experience and class, and then Nakazato puts his foot on the gas and tries to steal the round late on. Kimura round - Very close
2-Technical high level battle at mid-range, both guys trying to box but the other doing things to neutralise their offense, Nakazato maybe just edging the first part of the round, Kimura jumps in and lands a hook - Nakazato stumbles but remains up right, Kimura misses with another leap of aggression, Kimura with a body shot. Kimura's round - due to the highlight moment of the round
You know you're out of it when you don't notice the guy has his name on his shorts until round 3 -_- and you've been using the JBC schedule to remain on top of who is who. 3-More technical stuff, jabs from Nakazato are the key but not many are landing, still waiting for the touch paper to be lit and the action to pick up - something that Kimura has done in other bouts, a good right from Kimura, Nakazato with a few jabs, and the pace picks up in the final few seconds as Kimura gets to work on the inside for the first time. 3-0 Kimura...but very close fight that the 3-0 doesn't do justice to
4-Nakazato coming forward, Kimura using his footwork on the outside, but he gets tagged by 2 right hands, he responds with two left hooks, Kimura gets pushed down, Nakazato starting to have more and more success and Kimura having a very quiet round - Kimura down again - slip, and a left hook from Nakazato sends Kimura down - KD this down, up at 8...he's wobbling and the bell rings... Man if that was 10 seconds earlier! 10-8 Nakazato
5-Kimura may not have had the time he needed to recover, Nakazato on the front foot, he should be all over him, and after a few moments he is all over him. Kimura trying to fight back off the ropes, this is what I'd been expecting, a more fun inside war rather than 3 rounds of jabbing, the left hook of Nakazato looks a brutal weapon, Nakazato continues coming forward, pace has dropped off massively since the blistering start but Nakazato picking his moments, huge left to the body from Nakazato, Kimura unleashes up top and Nakazato backs off. Both trade at the bell. Nakazato round. 47-47 on my card after 5, momentum with Nakazato
6-Kimura appears back with it and is starting the round well, some ambition there after a couple of tough rounds, Kimura missing wildly with a hook, Nakazato trying to line stuff up behind a jab but can't land, the action lulls, Kimura misses with a right hand, back to jabs from Nakazato, a right from Nakazato lands just before the bell.... Well that was a pretty meh round after 2 good ones. MAYBE Kimura for his early work...but a close one either way
7-Kimura on the front foot to start the round, and a nice flurry from Kimura, a cracking left hook from Kimura seemed to put Nakazato on the back foot, a combination from Kimura up close, body shot and a left up top and down goes Nakazato! Kimura looks totally revitalised now and has a spring in his step - can't help but feel Nakazato let him off the hook, Nakazato clobbers Kimura up close, and now Kimura has let Nakazato get his chance to recover... 10-8 On my card Nakazato needs a big round 8
8-Kimura trying to get inside early but it doesn't last long, Nakazato sees off the early pressure, Kimura down - slip, Nakazato needs to go big in the final 2 minutes, Kimura on the inside working body shots, Nakazato with a body shot and Kimura returns to a flurry of rib ticklers, Nakazato on the offensive, heavy leather from him, and Kimura creates space and gets to work, Nakazato comes forward again, Nakazato looking to land something big, a big Kimura shot, Nakazato holds, ref lets them fight out of it, Kimura putting his foot on the gas 2 big rights, Nakazato holds again, Kimura trying to finish big. Kimura's round...and fight!
They score it a draw...Can't full agree with that, but it was close enough. Though Kimura did enough, but 2 swing rounds left it in doubt... Go again guys! Go again!
