Kaji looking to come forward early but is respectful of Blazo's power (he dropped Koki Eto in this very venue), trading inside and Kaji was caught, lovely left hand by Kaji, a huge right from Kaji and down goes Blazo! He's up quickly. Kaji goes at him and connects with another right. Blazo holding on and looks clear eyed. Kaji with another right. A right from Blazo! Fireworkds are being delivered!

Blazo having a good start and Kaji's defense not looking amazing as he tries to set a trap. Good hook from Kaji. Does look a lil like Kaji is tiring already. Blazo has Kaji on the ropes and lets shots go. Kaji struggling to fire back. Blazo to the body. Kaji looked ridiculously arm weary. Big round for Blazo who looked like the aggressor.

Kaji on his toes, knows he needs to avoid the body shots of Blazo, but Blazo catches him downstairs early. Kaji attacking the body of the visitor now, much better from Kaji who is shfiting through the gears, Blazo comes back at him, huge head shots from Kaji seemed to stiffen Blazo's legs, Blazo's so tough and heavy handed that he's giving Kaji absolute fits but he too seems to have slowed down here

Pace has dropped off a lot, the body shots and pace has taken it's toll. As a result it should become easier for the more skilled Kaji, but the heavy hands of Blazo will always be a problem. The skills of Kaji are showing to take the round, and this is a genuine test for the kid!

Blazo picking Kaji off with the jab, Kaji manages to have some success coming forward but looks totally off his game today, good left hand from Blazo snaps back the head of Kaji, Blazo rocked on to his heels. Kaji looking for a bomb late.

Blazo backing up Kaji, the Hall is almost silent, Kaji holding and spoiling and fighting in spurts only. Good finish from Kaji but this has killed some of the hype he's had...just a day after Saka's loss as well

Been sent some messages to say Kaji has been very lazy in training and not taking things seriously for this fight. It shows, his stamina, accuracy and work rate have been **** since round 2, Blazo is no world beater but he's a nightmare at this level and it's showing

Blazo with a good start and he connects early, Kaji doing very little until he lands a body shot, nice burst from Kaji but Blazo returns it with interest, good hook from Kaji, Blazo backing up and punching whilst going backwards, nothing on the shots and Kaji is the one pressing forward - but he's not landing much. Very poor contest and terrible performance.

Final round (thankfully) Blazo starting well, Kaji coming forward and lands a good right hand, good combination from Blazo but another right hand from Kaji, and another one, Blazo is hurt! Kaji going for the kill, big right hand! Blazo bundles to the canvas. Kaji has awoken! Kaji with another right hand. Blazo on the retreat, Kaji looking for the finish! Blazo eating right hands for lunch here! He's scarcely firing back. Another right and Blazo rocked again!

Can only assume Sendai Tanaka told Kaji he was a mile behind! ...he wasn't, but can see him needing that round for the win

 

Kaji got the decision, and likely a hard kick up the arse from his team.

Yuto Shimizu (11-3-2, 4) against Indonesian foe Maxi Yeninar (on screen graphic - 6-1-1, 4) (or 1-0, 1 if we take boxrec)

Shimizu down after about 8 seconds! Huge hook dropped him! This Indonesian isn't the patsy I expected! Left hook rigth hand from Yeninar connects! Shimizu is proper cautious now. Left hook from the visitor, and another, a right hand from the visitor connects. Body shot from Shimizu hurts Yeninar and he's down...and counted out!

 

Next up Nihito Arakawa (30-6-1, 18) Vs Adones Aguelo (28-16-2, 19) for the WBO Asia Pacific 135lb title

Aguelo on the front foot and Arakawa trying to counter early on, nice movement by Arakawa who is using his jab well, Aguelo looks very slow with his pressure given the movement of Arakawa.

Arakawa holding his feet a lil more, and they have a short exchange, Arakawa looks too sharp for Aguelo, Arakawa on the front foot and he seems to hurt Arguelo, he's unloading on the Filipino who slips enough to recover. Big Arakawa round.

Arakawa gets through clean and the crowd get excited, but Arguelo not buzzed by it, Aguelo pressing the action but really just walking into shots of Arakawa's, Aguelo gets to the body of Arakawa with a rare moment of success,
