https://boxrec.com/en/event/793324 We kick off the broadcast with Kai Chiba (11-1, 7) Vs George Lumoly (14-6-1, 10) in an 8 round Bantamweight bout
1-Chiba on the offensive, Lumoly looks negative and on the move...a lot 2-Lumoly down with a big right hand, he's up but this won't last long, down again...up again...and down a third time with Chiba hammering him in the corner, all over!
Yabusaki lost in the 2017 Flyweight Rookie of the Year final, and was also beaten last time, by Michael Mendoza. Imagawa on the other hand won the Super Flyweight Rookie of the Year in 2017 and is 2-2 since. 1-Nice tempo set here, Yabusaki started well before Imagawa took middle minute, Yabusaki however came back well with some fantastic shots including a very crisp straight left and an upper. 10-9 Yabusaki
2-More inside action than the first fight, with Yabusaki getting the better of it, Imagawa looks unsure of how to deal with the southpaw stance of Yabusaki, Imagawa rocked and fires back but eats a big counter himself, all Yabusaki at the moment, he really has no answer at all to the southpaw shots.
3-More of the same, the two don't look like they belong in the ring, Imagawa has no idea how to deal with anything Yabusaki is doing, and is rocked again. Imagawa having some success late in the round, but it's very limited
4-Imagawa starting round 4 better, he's almost figured out his left hook and straight right hands are key weapons here, Yabusaki back on the offensive with a minute of the round left, and Imagawa fights back, both seemed to be rocked a touch Imagawa backing off, the pressure from Yabuskai is amping up
5-A good back and forth again, but Imagawa's lack of power is an issue an Yabusaki willing to take risks to get inside, Yabusaki rocks his man again 6-Imagawa looking more and more like he's worried, and although he's not looking for a way out it seems very much like he's accepted his fate as the loser, but he's putting up an effort and when Yabusaki makes a mistake he is trying to strike.
7-Imagawa trying to use his feet and make Yabusaki work for his success, nice little back and forth on the inside, both looking more and more tired, and although Yabusaki is still doing more he is being caught by some of the more eye catching shots
8-Fun round again but once again Imagawa is mostly the more negative of the two, but picking nice counters...feel Yabusaki's got this quite comfortably, but very spirited effort overall from Imagawa who looked like a lost cause in rounds 2 and 3
Imagawa gets the decision....erm...no...not with that at all... Official scores - 78-74. 77-75 and 76-76
Ryohei Takahashi (17-4-1, 7) v John Basan (8-1, 5) Former world title challenger Ryohei Takahashi fights for the second time since his loss to TJ Doheny, and takes on Indonesian John Basan
1-Takahashi on the front foot, Basan misses with a huge right and eats a combination, Basan looks so slow and open, Basan actually lands an overhand right, and 2 more, Takahashi trying to pick off Basan at range but only having limited success
2-This is dull, Basan is far, far too negative,a good right hand from Takahashi lands clean, Basan is smart enough to fiddle his way out of things but putting up no effort to win...
