3-Osato upping the ante and gets through with a right hand early on, they trade for a moment, Sueyoshi gets the better of it in the moments that follow. Osato is non-perturbed and keeps up the increased pace and is making Sueyoshi look uncomfortable! A counter right from Osato and DOWN GOES Sueyoshi! He's up but the challenger can smell blood and lands another big right hand, and another, Sueyoshi is struggling. 15 seconds lefts, Suyoshi like an octopus and sees out the round. BIG Osato round! 29-27 Osato

 

4-Osato hunting straight away, Sueyoshi looking unsure of himself and even more nervous than usual, Osato unable to keep up the pace of the previous round but he knows he has the power to do damage. Sueyoshi fighting very negatively and gets caught by a left hook, Sueyoshi getting through with his jab a fair bit, big right hand from Osato! A right hand from Sueyoshi! 38-37 Osato

 

5-Osato pressing the action but Sueyoshi using his jab and feet well, a right hand just misses the target from Osato, Sueyoshi lands a right but stumbles whilst throwing the shot and there was nothing really on it, a big right from Osato, snapping jab from Sueyoshi (really his jab is a delight), body shto from Osato, body shot from Sueyoshi but he takes a monstrous right hand up top in return, big right from Sueyoshi, a sweeping left from Osato
48-46 Osato for me.

 

6-Osato continues to press the action, Sueyoshi responding with shots back but he's being rushed, Sueyoshi missing with his bigger punches,a big right from Osato, Osato is trying to make this into a war but eats a big one himself.

Open scoring was 48-46 across the board, think they had it to Sueyoshi though which may explain why OSato just picked things up a bit

 

7-Sueyoshi on the back foot but landing the bigger shots now and Osato's work is starting to look forced whilst Sueyoshi still has his ...awkwardness smoothness. Osato's right eye is a swollen mess but he's still in it and is pursuing Sueyoshi like a man with a point to prove. Big right on the bell by Sueyoshi

 

8-Osato's eye getting inspected, it's a swollen lump of temporary blindness now, Sueyoshi lands a right hand on the eye. Osato continuing to chase the champion and lands a right hand, they don't have the bite they had earlier, Sueyoshi landing at will. The eye is worsening...and the referee calls for the doctor to take another look, it's got a HUGE gash over it...and the doctor waves it off (ruled a punch)
