1-The size different here is VERY clear, Shimizu fights out of a crouch and he's still about 3" taller than Matsunaga. Matsunaga pressing but little lands from either man in the first minute, a good left from Matsunaga gets through, and another about 20 seconds later, Shimizu catches Matsunaga coming in and lands a lovely sharp right hand, persistent but cautious pressure from Matsunaga, Shimizu stumbles to a knee - slip, Matsunaga puts his foot on the gas late

2-Pressure from Matsunaga is mounting, Shimizu not letting his hands go anywhere near enough, Matsunaga looks busier stronger and hungried.

 

3-Matsunaga following Shimizu a little too much but not being made to pay at all, lovely right hook from Matsunaga after he takes a shot, pace increasing slightly, Matsunaga's pressure is increasing and his output growing,

Shimizu seems to have a leg problem or a very weird gait, been that way since round 1 though

 

4-Matsunaga pressing and pressing, nice burst of punches from Matsunaga, Shimizu literally tries to double hand push him off, a nice hook from Matsunaga, uppercut from Shimizu, Matsunaga taking over completely now, and Shimizu doing little to make him think twice, backing off against Matsunaga is not a good idea! Momentum growing for the champion, hooks coming from the champion, Shimizu needs to do something to stem the time and needs too do it soon! Uppercut from Shimizu "It's not every effective"

 

5-Matsunaga walking down the challenger, Shimizu tagged by a left hand and wobbled, and another about 30 seconds later, not enough coming from Shimizu who is provided very limited offense - though it is worth noting that he has bloodied Matsunaga's nose, huge left from Matsunaga! and Shimizu eats it! Another big left from Matsunaga, and uppercut from Shimizu, another Matsunaga left hand, Shimizu now standing and fighting more

6-Shimizu again backing off, he seems determine to make life super hard for himself, Matsunaga pressing and pressuring and landing the better shots, Shimizu tries to steal the round late

 

7-Matsunaga putting his foot on the gas and Shimizu trying to counter, a BIG cut over Shimizu left eye sees him taken to the Doctor, doctor lets the fight go on, Matsunaga smells blood and sees a target, pressure from Matsunaga who lets shhots flue, Shimizu down - slip, Matsunaga keeps up the pressure, Shimizu pinned on the ropes and is forced to hold, Shimizu all over the place, Matsunaga won't back off and the referee steps in. TKO7 Matsunaga!
