    Round 10

Abdullaev is seemingly recovered from his spell of malaise in the 9th, and is taking his task more seriously now. With dialed-in focus, the Russian is circling, leaning down to his right while keeping his left elbow crooked to protect his body, and jabbing into Lundy's face while riding the carousel. Lundy trots in and does manage to score a few consecutive left jabs on the face, and one grazing right on the cheek. Lundy is FAR more effective in this particular match-up from the orthodox stance. When he goes southpaw, Abdullaev dominates him. Let's see if he is smart enough to figure out to not box lefty anymore in the remaining seven or so minutes of action...

    10-9 Abdullaev

    97-93 Abdullaev

Seriously though. Drozd and Lebedev should be allowed to juice up on whatever the hell they liked(in a one off) so fans can be treated to a match that decides last gens #1 CW and thus the definitive #3 of all time which I think it's an obvious toss up between them. Usyk, Holyfield, Drozd/Lebedev.

You were expecting the FOTY from a Hammerin' Hank Lundy fight? lol.

(his opponent being a mostly unknown quantity heading in...I'm sure I've seen him before, recognize the name, but couldn't have told you a thing about his style an hour ago...)

On h2h ability hell yes. On resume, I could see people arguing that Drozd has a lot of ground to cover to be in that historical conversation.

    Round 11

Abdullaev is keeping Lundy at bay with his jab and neutralizing Lundy's by shooting against it diagonally, his own fist T-boning his opponent's wrist. Abdullaev scoring combos on the body from medium range while turning Lundy. Just a few pot shot up-jabs from Lundy, not setting his offense up intelligently at all, Abdullaev slipping everything with basic head movement. WILD exchange after the ten second clap, Lundy throwing can openers at the body with both hands, going for broke, Abdullaev slapping him on either side of the head and scooting backward.

    10-9 Abdullaev

    107-102 Abdullaev

Lundy could score three knockdowns in as many minutes and still lose on my card, now. (a 10-6 round would leave it 113-112 Abdullaev)

You could write a book on how unlucky Lebedev has been in his career. In a sane world he'd have been in unified champion with a few years as such and an undeniable HOF/ATG career.

    Round 12

Abdullaev and Lundy are taking turns stalking each other in a to & fro waltz across the middle of the ring, the aggressor invariably opening up exchanges with a reach-in jab and things then degenerating into a chaotic melee of wide sweeps at the body. Abdullaev getting the best of everything, although neither is doing much clean work to speak of. Lundy's gum shield pops out. Replaced, time in. WILD exchange, overhand right scores on the head for Lundy. Couple of body shots and a left hook flush for Abdullaev. They each pepper each other's chests & faces until the bell with wild scooping uppercuts at point blank. Both arm-weary, nothing on their shots although they're winding up as best they can.

    10-9 Abdullaev

    117-111 Abdullaev

So what do you guys think.... Vintage Lebedev display or will he labor a bit like against Flanagan? Hoping to see a rejuvenated version but that's asking a lot for 39year old with a career like his.
