Assuming you gave Urvanov the 1st? I tuned in for the 2nd and in that and now into R3 have seen Kuznetsov make life hell for "The Russian Canelo".

Kuz is doing a great job of not letting The Russian Canelo utilize that height advantage, diving under his 1-2s and landing very precisely with biting power shots, unconcerned about the sort of slapping counters that Urvanov is reduced to when pressed into tight quarters.

Urvanov from the back half of the 5th into the 6th now calming things down very efficaciously, moving his legs enough that he can exploit his long reach from just barely mid-range and pepper Kuznetsov with jabs and occasionally ding him upside the head with a right cross reaching in while still on the sidestep.

OH! - but Kuznetsov drills him with a VICIOUS harpooning right on the body with half a minute left and Urvanov is hurt, running for solace on the ropes! Kuznetsov runs up and whacks away on him, flush left hook, Urvanov in trouble!

Hell of a round. Hell of a hard round to score. About 2.5 minutes of very solid matador work from Canelo and then BAM, his world almost gets ****ed up in the blink of an eye, then saved by the bell.

I thought "The Russian Canelo" won the 5th round too.

I think so, well that's what's playing for me on both streams.

Headbutt causes a nasty cut on Urvanov, looked incidental but the ref docks a point from Kuznetsov.

Both landed some heavy leather in the seventh, with both of their connected left hooks appearing downright cinematic in the slow motion replay highlight package shown between rounds. :deal:

Urvanov on the whole is landing more (including some very sneaky body combos while trotting around Kuznetsov in a partial crouch) but the hardest and more hurtful/effective power shots are coming from Kuznetsov, especially with a line drive right hand delivered upward from the chest and banging square on the button that Urvanov can't seem to avoid.

Looked like the last 20 seconds to me, Kuznestov had him against the ropes for 3-4 punches then the last 10+ seconds they traded on equal terms. Scored the 6th for Urvanov.

This is maybe the best deep undercard fight (ie not a main or co-main event) that I've seen in a long time. Maybe in 2018.

(of course, that is to be taken with a grain of salt as I've watched so much less boxing in the last couple of years than in the previous couple of decades...in 2017 & 18 combined I've probably seen half of what my average # of fights consumed was for 2016 backwards)

Yeah the big right hand downstairs was at the roughly 30 second mark and there was a short lull between that and him putting Urvanov on the ropes; I was including the body shot in Kuz' half-minute of dominance.
