    I didn't see a point deduction?

Uh-oh, noodled arm punches and some heavy air-sucking through an open maw, Canelo is gassed halfway into the 9th...but to his credit he's standing his ground and pumping out both hands even as Kuz rolls himself into a hedgehog ball and then catapults himself in and scores uppercuts.

If they can both catch a second wind on their stools we could be set up for a positively epic tenth.

I thought I saw him wag a finger in the air, could be mistaken.

Quick glove touch and hug as they answer the bell.

Some people don't like that practice until a fight is over; this is the sort of fight I point to as the very obvious exception, where I can't see how anybody could have a problem with that gesture of camaraderie and sportsmanship in this context.

edit: and of course they immediately begin proving my point by HAMMERING each other with brutal hooking combos in the pocket moments later. :deal:

Kuznetsov looking hungrier in the ultimate frame..

It has been close enough throughout (although I haven't kept a running scorecard), it could well be hanging in the balance here..

That was a hard bout to score. I’ll have to rewatch it when I’m not as sleep deprived as I am right now lol. Very entertaining bout.

I'd approve of a draw or a 2-round margin either way.

Any sort of six point gap and I'm suspicious.

(Canelo is a German Titov guy, while Kuznetsov belongs to another small-fry rival domestic promoter, Sergey Trofimov)

I'm watching in a library (no audio), plus I don't speak Russian...so I'm relying on you guys for the scores here...

edit: n/m they both had their hands raised by the ref, guessing draw?

Draw is a fair result. Fair play to the judges

If IB's point deduction call stands (making it 9-9) Kuz can't win on my card without a KO going into the 10th. I admit though I'm seeing a different fight from IB who I feel he has Kuz winning.

It sounded like one card scored identically to each fighter (probably 96-94 or 97-93) and then I’d presume 95-95.

Agreed, they both fought their asses off, and the whole damn thing was competitive (more than half were airtight swing rounds) - glad to see neither take an L.

I'd clear my schedule for a rematch.

I'd be fine with Urvanov shading it, but if we saw 98-91 cards or something it would smell like rotten home cooking.

The next bout is interesting because according to RCC’s list of bouts they posted on Facebook, it would appear the Argentine is the A-side fighter

Edit: Never mind, I have no clue what I was looking at earlier that had him listed as A-side
