It definitely would not be the same fight as a few years ago . . . Mundine can still get himself in good condition but at the end of the day look at Roy Jones' body on the weekend . . . Until he proves me otherwise i say it honestly Mundine is finished . . . From now on he can only fight at the level he has been this last year and a half . . . As soon as a Sturm, Abraham, Pavlik, Taylor, Bika comes knocking, its goodnight Mundine . . . Anyways im off to bed
I wouldnt mind Mundine taking on Bika, tho Bika would make it a rough fight & has a granite chin. Would be interesting to watch. Sturm wins on wide points against Mundine & i feel both Pavlik & Abraham stop him. He did retain some speed, but lacked so much power. I think if he does make middleweight he will be so heavily drained too. Very average performance tonight.
So the jury is in - Sturm beats Mundine :deal So im guessing that if Mundine takes a Sturm fight then he is ballsy :rofl:rofl:rofl **** me dead, Mundine schools Sturm
Dean Russell won ko 2nd rnd will Tolminson 1st rnd Bobby won Bahram won Awad won by KO Kazzi got dropped in the first rnd but went on to win on points withers won forsyth won
I have never seen a boxer so robotic in my life as Peter Kazzi...that guy better keep fighting bums to pump up his record.
Thats what i would rather see too. At least then we work who is the best Middleweight in Australia, that is if Mundine can make 160.:yep
On the news today Mundine was getting up off the floor......did he get put down or was it a slip? Looks as if he won all rounds.....the other guy looked ok, fit and strong however I only saw 10 seconds on the news.
its official, mundine has lost speed ,stamina and power with this middleweight debicle. i cant believe the management of this dude, lets start our career at super middle, then wait till were 34 years old to try make a career change to middle, thus giving up the belt,to run down to a weight we dont know if we can even make yet. these blokes are not proffesionals, with the cash choc has you would think he would invest in professionals for the best advice,TOOLS.atsch
He hasent even made it to middle yet... That extra kilo, although it doesnt sound like much, will sap more energy...
the other guy was a midget, as mundine isn't that tall, so don't say he was better than anything! he was a blown up jnr middle at very best.
Mundine has been out of his peak for a while now. I said after the Hamden fight that he's declined a fair bit, and his performance in his last few fights have done nothing to change my mind (although I've only seen highlights). People will say that he will step it up more when he takes on a better fighter, that he'll give a better showing for himself, ect. But I'm not buying it. The fact that he gets hit much more often now isn't due to a lack of effort in the gym. It's a clear sign that he's lost something. Mundine is the type of boxer that hates to get hit and whether its a blind spot in the eye, or whatever, he has been hit far too often than usual in his last 4 or so fights. The fact that he's been unable to put away the fodder that hes fought in his last few fights is again a worry. If I was Danny Green, I'd take the rematch.
