Ah screw it. Let's log for a while again, see if it gets me going. I'm starting slowly because I'm in horrible condition.

    Tue Mar 8

    10 minutes jump rope
    6x3 heavy bag
    3x3 shadowboxing
    10 minutes stretching

    Wed Mar 9

    3.6 mile road work
    10 minutes stretching

Are you fighting again or just keeping fit for the sake of it? I know a lot of people struggle keeping it going if it's the latter. Good luck whatever it is you're doing it for.

Just for the sake of it mate. I turned 34 last year so amateur boxing ends for me. I'm going to struggle without the fighting drive, but I've come to the conclusion that I still need boxing to keep my head on straight.

Just because you can't fight anymore doesn't mean that you will stop learning and imrpoving, there are other goals that you can set yourself rather than winning fights. All the best RDJ.

Yeah thought about it and assisted my trainer for a while training the youngsters. Then life smacked me in the chin (family problems, being dirt poor, trouble in women land, almost got homeless) and the depression came. For now I'm satisfied with not going crazy. I'll just pretend there's a fight on the horizon and block out the rest.

RDJ, for all of your cycling workouts, do you use a stationary bike or is this outside with a road bike?

All of it was outside, most between home and the boxing gym.

^Did you need to buy an expensive bike? I have a stationary bike in my basement but i don't think thats enough. I used to run marathons and grew to hate running which is why i'm asking lol.

I had a racing bike, but a very cheap one. Fifty dollars should be enough to buy one.

Doesn't appeal to me at all.

You stopped training because you could'nt fight.?

    Turn professional, problem fixed.

It would be something to focus on, and work towards in training.

Pro boxing doesn't appeal to me and there is barely any here in Doucheland. Problem not solved at all.
