Re-evaluating Felix Trinidad's Career

You simply cannot compare the great Felix Trinidad to a fraud like Margarita. If Trinidad fought Margarita, bricks or no bricks, Margarita would get his **** pushed in just like Vargas and Yuri Boy. Trinidad would show him what true punching power feels like.

Also, of course he is.

Prime un-officially undefeated Whitaker, who sobered up after the DLH fight and was looking to put the upset of a lifetime until he got tito'd.

Supremely prime undefeated DLH who was going to become the next Ray Leonard until he got Tito'd and started doing coke and dressing like drag due to Trinidad's punching power.

Supremely prime, undefeated young Lion Vargas who was on his way to becoming a great until he got Tito'd and ruined forever. The same Vargas who just got done beating prime ATG JMW Winky Wright and Ike Quartay(who some same beat DLH)

The Most Dangerous Man in Boxing a prime Ricardo Mayorga who just got done making Forrest his ***** twice and unoffically should of won his fight vs Spinks. Spinks did absolutely nothing in that fight to warrant a win. Didn't matter. A half retired Trinidad at 30 percent of what he used to be Tito'd him into oblivion.

A Prime William Joppy. The reigning long time MW champ. Tito'd to the max. This is what would happen to GGG if he were fighting in the early 00's instead of Hopkins. It would of been a nasty beat down.

A Prime HOF Hector Camacho before his legendary run, being the only man to knock out Leonard and beating Duran twice.



If that resume right there doesn't warrant for a top 20 ATG ranking, then I'm not sure what does. Some have Chavez there despite fighting nothing but bums all of his career. Trinidad beats him in resume and accomplishments and knocks him out h2h.

That resume is simply unmatched. It took a LHW to beat him in his prime to stop the destruction he laid fourth in boxing.


Name me 20 boxers with a better resume than that.

 

Half the people in that list couldn't hold a candle to Trinidad. All get knocked out by him h2h besides the one's who weren't former LHW champs.
