One of the things that makes a thrilling impression on me in boxing history is when an extremely durable champion is stopped in an ND bout. That's the only way to get the title in these ND affairs. It's really thrilling stuff.

I have been calling for a return to ND bouts for two decades now.

Or, going further, any fight that goes the distance can be called a draw. I don't see it happening though. A lot of boxing fans don't even like even rounds.

The 4 round ND and the 4 round stoppage to win fights, would add to the current scene. It is the only way we will ever see good fighters fighting each other again.

Wlad vs Leapai should have been a winner take all 4 round bout with Leapai getting the decision if Wlad cant stop him. I think this would have been a lot more exciting bout than what we actually saw.

Wlad could have finished it a round earlier. Leapai was out classed. All of Wlad's opponents are from a skill perspective, but at least he came to fight and not run like Haye.

No way do I want to see boxing return to a ND format. Its awful, and would create even worse matches.

Who would have thought the heavyweight title would be reduced to being shown on Eurosport? How are the mighty fallen?
A safety first champion defending against a very limited brawler with no skills, footwork, head movement ,or hand speed. A challenger who managed to add a further 4 lbs to his frame since his last fight, taking him up to 248lbs .At barely 6 foot tall he was actually heavier than Wlad. A mediocre challenger who was dropped and stopped by the light hitting Johnson. This is the nadir of the sport.

It was on cable here. If you count the amount of live viewers around the world its a huge event.

Heavyweight boxing will pick up in your neck of the woods once a challenger with skills, and b@lls emerges. Hope you live to see it, because its not on the horizon. Wlad should be on top for another 3 years or more.

How could people pay good money to see Wladimir Klitschko fight? His bouts are virtually
    unwatchable.

A huge event? No major network picked it up. Its the Heavyweight Championship for Christ sake!

If he continues to defend against the likes of Leapai I'd say he could be champ for another 30 years let alone 3! I'm not concerned with where challengers come from.I told you before," let the best man win".
Tyson Fury is chinny and untested.Chisora lacks power. Price lacks a big fight temperament..
And the heavyweight division stinks. :patsch

Your reading comprehension as always is lacking. 20+ million people watched the event. Just because it wasn’t on near you means little. If it were Fury, or Price, I think Wlad ends just as soon, the only difference is it would be on Sky so you can see it.

Leapai did not belong in the ring, he was a mandatory type who got lucky vs. an often injured Boystov. He was perhaps the weakest title opponent ever for Wlad. Wlad said he wants the winner of vacant WBC match, which will be a top 5 rated guy.

The "fight" was on here ,and on for free ,I watched it a couple of days later . I get Box Nation, Sky ,and Eurosport. I was more interested in a couple of," real fights", the Thurman and Mathysse ones.

Wlad is a big fish in a very little pond, gunshy, and ultra cautious, he bores me rigid.
