Re-examining The Record of Lennox Claudius Lewis - Is The Lion Being Overrated?

Of co**** he's being overrated. His resume is full of past-prime opponents and the one that was close to prime, he got a lucky stoppage on cuts and retired rather than face him again.

Add to that being brutally stopped twice in his prime by journeymen.

Why is this guy even being talked about still?

Lennox had one problem MOTIVATION!! He fought to what he considered the level of his opposition. Yes he got legitimately beaten twice by McCall & Rahman but really he beat himself rather than them beat him.
With Rahman instead of training Lennox had been filming ocean eleven with Brad Pitt & co partying instead of punching. He arrived in Africa late never had time to acclimatize. You saw a different Lennox in the rematch when he decimated Rahman LOL
Lennox beat every man he faced in the pro ring there was no one left to beat when he retired. Some say he didn't fight Tyson & Holyfield in their prime?
That was NOT Lennox fault both avoided meeting him till it was forced on them. Anyway Lennox & Mike Tyson sparred together as kids with Cus D'Mato & Lennox always handled Mike comfortably. As for Bowe that was as big a duck as Floyd ducking Manny. Bowe knew Lennox always had his number.
Lennox Claudius Lewis was the best HW champ since Ali & is without doubt a top 5 of all time. Take time to learn what really happened guys before slating fighters you wont look so foolish then OK

He is an ATG because he beat everyman he faced in a decent, competitive era of fighters. He was an Undisputed Heavy Champion of the world and a h2h beast. Thats why he is an ATG. Vitali is a Hofer and H2H heavyweight beast but has a very average resume, Vitali is a hard fight for any heavyweight in history.
