I know that he has sparred "Sweet Pea" (who, according to Floyd, he got the better of) but what other great fighters or big named fighters has Floyd sparred over the years? And how has he gotten on with them in these sessions? Always wondered about this..
He said he sparred with Frankie Randall when he was 17 and he knew he could beat him then, but didn't want to go all out on him because he wanted to keep their friendship intact. Then of course people know about him sparring Lamont Peterson. Some sources said they both got good work and it was even and some say Peterson got the better of it. And Floyd mentioned how he used to spar Judah and break him down. I'm sure they both got good work though
he sparred khan, people who watched it say khan got the better of him, but floyd didn't go all out and was taking it easy, khan was young (early 20's), so you know he gave it his all
He sparred him before he fought Marquez I believe....Peterson talks about it during the build up to his second fight with Khan that got cancelled. Note: Peterson wasn't one of his sparring partners for the Marquez fight it was Anthony who was preparing for a fight and they were training in Las Vegas and Floyd invited them to his gym to get some work in.
