Really ? Why is that ? They were the same nation before Tatars came and wiped out most of Ukraine. Ukranian language formed from Russian when Ukraine was owned by Poland. Returning to boxing, Wlad and most of the other best Ukranian professional boxers were born in the Soviet Union and belong to the same Soviet boxing school as Rusians, Kazakhs, Azeris, etc. P.S. When interviewed in Ukranian, boxers like Usyk and Lomachenko respond in Russian. That tells you something !
That was prior to winning g the title and neither where hof bound at that time. Look at the quality of his defences once he had a title, nothing spectacular at all.
Cotto and Canelo would become bums as well if he beat them. Those are the 2 fighters at MW who could test him. And I still think he beats both comfortably. GGG makes it looks easy. Because he is a unique fighter.
Let the americans hate on him, i have no Problem with them having heroes like Mayweather and Ward that are running scared away for 12 rounds and then getting a descicion with home town Advantage, thats what makes americans horni hehehe
Whether people want to fight him or not, fact is, he NEEDS to fight an elite opponent to be considered a HOF or ATG that some people are hyping him up. He's fought good opposition, can't knock him on that. But nothing that makes him P4P top 10. I think he's fully capable of being P4P #1 and an ATG, but his current body of work doesn't do it.
Exactly, not much for him at 160. I think he's the best at 160; but thinking the Patriots are Super Bowl material means squat if they don't play in it.
Well considering Ward left, I like his chances against anyone there. It'd be a little less one sided than it is now.
The man gave you some good information and all you can say is " it's not his fault" That's a cop out because you wanna believe that real boxing fans is hating on GGG because he's white. That's some childish and ridiculous shiit. Boxing is an art and a science and that's what serious fans of boxing are intrigued about. If it's being done right, it doesn't matter who's doing it. As for GGG not being down in 300+ fights is all good and proper but greatness can only be measured by greatness. If he does not go up against greatness then his greatness is only speculation. He has beaten every fighter put in front of him and that's excellent but if he wants to reach for greatness then Ward is his ticket. Personally, I don't care if he fights Ward or not. He puts on a big drama show and it's fun to watch, he's very popular and stands to make a great deal of money. That seems to be his game plan. However, if he wants true greatness, he has to pursue it. If you looking for any serious boxing person to give him a free ticket to greatness then you are wasting your time.
If Golovkin went up? Maybe, can't really tell right now. If you're implying I'd downplay his victories, I wouldn't. I like Golovkin.
