Cotto's fought at the MGM a few times I think, not sure Margo has but I don't think it will make a difference much. Both are good professionals who are unlikely to let the crowd affect them much, both can expect big support aswell.

It might spur both on a bit more but I don't think it will effect their gameplans as we can expect an all-out war anyway (which will be amazingly entertaining while it lasts but as a Cotto fan I hope he plays it safe and boxes of the back and wears Margo down with bodyshots)

Well you answered your own question in there! I don't think the crowd will play a big role with these two professionals

A latin shootout! Pressure will be intense. The smart move for Cotto would be to move around the ring and box, This will draw a negative response from the crowd. Also if Margarito plays into it and tries to slug it out, Cotto's faster hands could do alot of damage. Both fighters cold be lured into a slugging match & abandon thier fightplan, very easily.

I don't think really runners, just more technical boxers than Mexican fans are used to. Mexican fighters for the most part , usually go out there with guns blazing! Salvador Sanchez was really a departure from the Mexican fighter norm. He had the ability to effectivly box and move & also slug it out when the situation arised. This seemed to have sparked a change & there have been some new Mexican fighters with the ability to box effectivly. (Barrera,Morales,J.M. Marquez.) But that's another story.... But Margo's a throwback, he just goes outthere and wings punches & is brutally effective.

The crowd will probably be going wild even dozens of minutes before the fight actually starts, but rowdy crowd or not, these two would still go at it like wild dogs regardless of the noise from the crowd.

Good question.. With the Mexican vs Puerto Rican rivalry thing, the crowd ill be uproaring, but I doubt that it'll affect Cotto or Margo during the fight..

Will it affect Margo or Cotto? I don't think so. Will it affect the judges? It probably will in some close rounds.

It will have no effect I believe, at least in a significant way.
