    I was going though some old files today and came across the list below.

    I quite like it (certainly the top 40 or so), but who were your fighters of the 80s?

    The premise being that only fights from January 1st 1980 to December 31st 1989 count.

    Your order is always so random I have to assume that at some point you kind of just start throwing out names and seeing where they end up.

    I can't say I agree with the order of some (but that is all subjective)but a very good list of 80's fighters.

    Have to add I'd probably get Vinny Paz on there somewhere. his wars with Haugen were great and he was a fun charecter to watch

    I constructed the list by doing a top 25 (20 for 118 and 112; 15 for 122, 115 and 108( for each division and then knocking the fighters off one by one as I did the list.

    Obviously a few fighters appeared in more than one weight division, and I took that into account when placing them.

    Yes placing is very subjective, But I think I got at least 75 of anyone's top 100, who knew the sport then.
