Round 11: This is a potential swing round. Golovkin still applying pressure but getting a little slopping, getting hit with some clean counters. But Canelo also is dragging and suffers from anemic offense for much of the round. Close one for GGG. 7-4 Golovkin
Round 12: Easy Canelo round, his first clear one in some time. Spent everything he had left and landed some bombs. No denting the iron chin across from him but that's still his round. Nevertheless, he was too far down on my card. 7-5 Golovkin Takeaways: There are some close rounds here, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with a draw. People screaming robbery are way out of line. I do think it would be giving Canelo too much benefit in the close rounds to have him winning, but anything from 114-114 to 116-112 Golovkin is fine.
I've always been amazed by how many fans score fights emotionally. It's like they can't deal with disappointment so they go into denial mode.
dont remember my exact score, but i had g just edging it. i would have given him the win. i thought he went after it more consistently. but it was tight. certainly worthy of a rematch. the second one i saw canelo pull away. he forced himself on the situation, and it payed off.
