Lennox was punching, Vitali was holding. Even after the ref pulls them apart, Lennox throws a punch and Vitali tries to dive straight into a clinch.

It was a brave effort though, but he had taken too many punches and would likely have been KTFO.

That was the best shot Briggs landed in the whole fight. Vitali didn't even blink and went on to beat the soul out of him in the 12th.

Respect to the huge heart of Briggs.

Lol do you know how small that shot was? The zoomed slow motion makes it look like a huge shot......but it really wasn't, hold on I will gif it in real time, he didn't even pull back or extend his arm. It was like a jab.

You do know that old Briggs is/were still one of the biggest punchers in the division.

He landed it flush on Vitali while Vitali was coming forward. Good shot.

Doesn't matter if he threw shots or not, he took a massive uppercut and didn't go down, everything else is irrelevant.

It was a clever little right, but let's not make the punch into something it wasn't.

Considering the argument stemmed from 'Lennox had Vitali out on his feet', which was then disputed, and the proven by the gif I posted, it's hardly irrelevant. Where is the logic in arguing he took a huge looking uppercut, if he was put on jelly legs by other punches which obviously took a bigger toll but may not have been as aesthetically pleasing?

Those uppercuts Vitali took from Lewis, specially the one in the 5th would have floored about 97% of boxers in history like sacks of potatoes

The rest would have been put on ***** street with noodle legs

And only Vitali (and probably Chuvalo) could have taken it the way he did

    Vitali ATG chin

Vidic is as expert in boxing as you are smart (and that's not much in case you're wondering). You dont even know what jelly legs look like, apparently.

Counters like that are more damaging than normal punches, because they carry all the inertia from the aggresor mixed with the impact delivered by the counterpuncher, basically turning the attacker's momentum against him. This is basic boxing stuff.

You can also see by the way Shannon buckles, that he's putting full body weight behind no matter how small the counter looks. In short you DKSA Counters

That was a shot that could have rocked a lot of people, and Vitali took him pretty well

To be fair, those bombs he took off Lewis would have at least dropped most, Vitali took them like a champ. He has a certified granite chin.

No it wasn't 'proven'. Two boxers hugging eachother, stumbling across the ring together proves nothing. Sanders getting Vitali to do the chicken dance is proper proof.

The gif you posted is open to interpretation like anything else. You stated your opinion, I happen to respectfully disagree.
