I understand you can't agree with me doesn't matter what points I bring so I'm not going to waste my time explaining what I saw, simply I'll tell you I saw it even at 114. How can you explain Bob Papa(who was there) that Alexander won 8 or 9 rounds when he after 11 rounds had Kotelnik 6-5 ahead??? simply how, and Max Kellerman, who didn't exactly said that the fight was close or something like that, but he did told Lederman that after 9 rounds he saw Kotelnik winning more than 1 rd.(which Kellerman gave thru 9).
Biggest robbery of 2010, you don't know **** about boxing if you gave Alexander more then 2 maybe 3 rounds even if you are a fanboy. According to you, he was being more aggressive and that won him the fight. So who in your opinion won Froch vs Direll?
I thought Alexander won the fight, I agree Kotelnik fought a good fight and it was closer than I thought it would be, but bottom line Alexander carried the fight and out hussled Kotelnik and that's nobody's fault by his own. He allowed himself to get outworked by the busier fighter, plain and simple.
I am a fan of both but was only a fan of Devon when I first scored the fight yet still had it 116-113 Kotelnik.
while watching it live i thought devon lost......even if he did win, there is no way it was by as wide of a margin as the thread starter is making it out to be......i think a poll should be added so we can see what's what, but no way in hell devon won it by a landslide, it was a close fight all around with one being more accurate and effective with his shots and the other throwing alot of combos but mostly hitting air and gloves with them. Which do you prefer? Which do you consider as being more effective?
I guess you could say that ... but Activity is nothing if you don't land the punches... he got a home town decesion , its simple... he is still a good fighter, just young and green.. Kotolnik is underrated , he can box. PBF said that he thought Kotolnik did enough to win as well.
Kotelnik made alexander his *****. If you think alexander won, you must have been counting every punch he threw as a scoring blow, and giving him half-credit every time he went 'ah-ha-Ha-HA-AH' while hitting Kotelnik in the wrists with 5 jabs. Aggression is only scored if it's real aggression, and even then it has to be the best thing happening. Alexander would throw 4 or 5 stay-busy shots without intending to even land, and Kotelnik would interrupt him with a solid jab. Kotelnik wins that exchange. The pattern repeats itself, and Kotelnik wins rounds. If Alexander had been trying to hit Kotelnik, it would be different. But he was clearly just trying to punch and keep busy. He was rarely even in range when he threw. And even then, he would still have to answer to the fact that Kotelnik was countering him all night and barely getting hit himself.
The big thing in this fight was simply that Kotelnik didnt do enough to win the majority of the rounds , did he finish strongly ??? yes , did he appear to land the better power shots through out the fight ??? yes , did he appear to still be relatively fresh at the final bell ??? yes , all irrelevant if you dont leave it in the ring :deal Alexander fought like a fighter who was looking to win the fight , he fought most of the fight on the front foot and was way more active . Alexander by 3 !!!! Lederman needs shooting for his score card BTW..............
