Disappointing performance by Lacy. Mendoza is a C level fighter at best and Lacy couldn't get this guy outta there. Not that Lacy didn't try, he simply isn't fundamentally sound to know how to finish off his opponent when hurt.

Lacy had Mendoza on the ropes, rarely did Lacy bother to go to the body. Instead Lacy was a headhunter - winding up and throwing bombs. This will not always get the job done. You have to have a coordinated attack plan to finish your opponent. But Lacy telegraphs his punches. This will always been his Achilles heel. A three, four punch combination to Mendoza's body certainly would have gotten Mendoza's attention and probably knocked him out. Since Lacy is shorter than most of his opponents - and has a shorter reach - Lacy has to press his opponent and be up in their ****ing grill. Get inside and attack the body with quick counter punches. Take away a taller fighters reach advantage. This is an art Mike Tyson perfected. I assume Lacy's team has neglected to learn anything from Tyson fights. Defense? Forget about it. Defense is non-existent with Lacy. His handlers should be fired for not doing a better job in this area.

Lacy may be a stand up guy but he is a limited, one dimensional slugger. And sad to say Lacy has regressed not progressed since his defeat to Calslappy. I don't see Lacy ever being a champion (unless the SMW division goes to hell in a hand basket), just a contender.

The only way I envision Lacy beating Taylor tonight is if Taylor gets careless and Lacy catches him with a bomb. Lacy will not out box Taylor. Doubtful Lacy will lead on points. This fight could go to the twelfth round with Taylor leading on all cards and just once Lacy lands a thunderous cross to Taylor's shaky chin and KOs Taylor at the last moment. This is the only way I see Lacy beating Taylor.

That was a horrible match. i think it should've been a draw. But Lacy was funny when he tackled the guy, LMAO! Funny thing is that he had no shame in saying that it was a dirty move to save himesels. He looked ******ed after the fight was over.

Yes. From my observations it appears Taylor doesn't have the best chin. But a GOOD ENOUGH chin to get the job done.

True. Lacy was fortunate to escape with a questionable win when he was nearly stopped.

Seriously, I was dying when Lacy tackled him. That was funny as hell. But him getting the UD by scores of 116-112 & 117-111 was ridiculous to me.

True. I will give Lacy props for having the balls to admit he had to tackle Mendoza to keep himself from getting knocked out.

LMAO! I'm laughing right now just thinking about it. That was funny. When I seen Wlas tackle Thompson, thats the first thing I thought about. But man, I hope Lacy looks better in this fight.

Lacy is gonna have to look better tonight. If he loses tonight in a poor performance, Lacy may need to start thinking about new career opportunities.

Gotta go. Be back latter tonight.

I scored it a draw, was a very entertaining little scrap though. Unfortunately Lacy looked terrible.

Exactly how I feel. If Lacy fights like that, he'll forever be an ESPN Wednesday night fighter. I dont really see Lacy ever becoming this great SMW that ppl think/want him to be.

Yeah. Only ppl who really want that dream to come true are Calzaghe fans. But I never considered him that good.

True. Fight fans like big punchers. The networks like fighters the fans like. Lacy is a fan favorite because he's a headhunter. However, Lacy doesn't have much else to offer other than big muscles and big punches.
