duran going thru floyd's resume would make him undefeated with very high ko percentage. warrior's fight to dominate and damage unlike defensive boxers with weak power who hugs, runs, and score points to win while fighting them at the "right time".

:patsch The sensitivity/paranoia of the fanboys on this site is unbelievable! The fanatics on either side will jump at the slightest opportunity to complain about the other guy. You said Hagler/Floyd would be "mouthwatering". By that I assumed you meant it would be a good fight. To that I said "only if you really, really don't like Floyd"...because he would get his f*cking ass kicked and I meant that those who do not like him would find it mouthwatering. Try not to interpret the world as being evenly split into Floyd lovers and Floyd haters. Some of us don't really care about him all that much.

I'd be a huge fan of Floyd even with his ****ty defensive style, if he'd just fought guys in their prime and didn't cherry pick. Pernell Whitaker wasn't any more fun to watch than Floyd, and was just as feather fisted and defensive, but he fought the toughest guys around. He was about 29 to Chavez' 31 when they fought.

Floyd is one of the greatest head to head fighters ever. He is a nightmare for anyone although I see Hearns and Hagler as his toughest challenges from Duran's resume.

The only people that would give Floyd a good fighter on Duran's resume is Hearns and SRL.

But, in terms of boxing brains, Floyd is superior to both. Both men would have to basically out-physical him to win. Floyd would eat them both if they tried to get into a boxing match with him.

Ray Robinson and Hearns fought at 147 with same day weigh-in so I doubt their ability to cut weight was their chief advantage. Robinson had beat the lightweight champ in a nontitle bout and Hearns weighed 145 against Leonard so maybe they were at their natural weights at that time in their careers.

Maybe I misunderstood, if so I apologize. It seemed like you were taking a shot at me and under the impression I was defending Floyd for not moving up.
