No that's just more excuses. Hatton, Haye and Calzaghe can talk all the trash they want and it's all good. Once someone trash talks them back it's a problem. In Hatton's case it didn't even matter. We all know who was laughing at the end and who was trying to remember where he was.

 

I didn't find Hatton the least bit funny.

 

As a rule you don't take trash talk seriously in the last week before a fight. It's all part of the build-up.

Mayweather's a genius. He clowned around so much, people just couldn't see him as a fighter. I reckon Hatton was relaxed and even grew a bit overconfident due to Mayweather behaving like a 3 year old.

But when the night came, PBF was as focused as ever. He didn't even react to Hatton turning his back at him out of frustration.

Mind games.

 

Mayweather rarely reacts to **** like that in the ring, if ever.
