I'm reading an excellent book called Jack Dempsey: The Manassa Mauler by Randy Roberts. It has inspired me to go through the lineal HW champions by reading books about them. Looks like I'm starting with John L. Sullivan. Anyone have any recommendations on which book to ready about him? Looking for any others as well for future reference. Thanks.
This is a good read and it's free: 'Life and Reminiscences of a 19th Century Gladiator' By John Lawrence Sullivan, Dudley Allen Sargent http://books.google.com/books?id=D_...&resnum=1&ved=0CBcQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q&f=false
Why not try Dempsey's succesor... Gene Tunney- "Boxings Brainiest Champ and His Upset of the Great Jack Dempsey" by Jack Cavanaugh is a good read!
