    The problem is that you are the one that said Floyd. The last time I heard the "Real boxing fan" argument used it was in support of Corry Spinks.
    Why not jump on Spinks fans?
    The reason you went straight for Floyd and not Corry is because Corry isn't as good a fighter.
    I dont like to use the term Hater, but this doesn't look good.

    because corey spinks isn't ranked p4p number 1, we expect more from the supposedly 'best' in our sport.

    Ok Illstate, since I brought Floyd in the equation, I take full responsibility for making this a Mayweather thread if that was not your intention. However, it seems by your posts that this WAS your intention for starting the thread. Correct me if Im wrong.

    Because he has no fans that I can think of.

    And I am a Floyd hater, however any reasonable poster who knows me will also say that I am also objective about him and give him props when I see fit.

    thats what i meant, idiot, hopkins is smart, he does what it takes, winky is a *****, he cried on the first sign of blood and fell to one kneecrying to the ref, that was no way accidental.

    o.k I was wondering which one of you would resort to your homosexuality first.
    I surely hope that some of you are not adult males with this type of garbage on your minds.
    You feelings toward Floyd is unhealthy, but this homosexual talk on a boxing board all the time is beyond sick.
    Who thinks about that sick **** 24/7?
    If you cant talk about boxing or what goes on in the sport. Theres nothing wrong with just reading what others post.
    If you want to write that sick homosexual ****. I'm sure you can find a site to do it. This is the internet you know?

    2. Sure, but you can't prove that based on the video. You can only suggest it by knowing Hopkins' track record and his mentality.

    Truth is truth. there is no other way to make the point. That is the point. Floyd's attitude outside the ring, and the fact that he says he'll K.O the next opponant when he knows he's not going for the K.O in the ring is the reason some people dislike him.
    But the reason he is talked about in damn near every negative post on this board is not for those reasons.
    There are people with atitude problems outside of the ring, and there are people that dont go for a decapitation every time they are in the ring, and you dont see the same kind of emotions as you see when Floyd is mentioned as a great fighter.
    What else could it be?

    1. It's not the truth though. There are loads of black fighters who get credit and people don't degrade them for their colour.

    2. Floyd gets so much attention because he's in top spot. If Floyd wasn't Number One, he wouldn't be paid much attention. The fact that he's on top is what gives him the attention.

    3. His attitude. Floyd talks a lot of trash and says things about how he's greater than anyone who ever laced up a pair of gloves, which is pathetic and disrespectful. If he had a sense of history, he'd be easier to like and harder to put down.

    That he is the best in the sport, and there are always haters of the best at anything.

    It also doesnt help that he talks about being better than old champs.

    And finaly, Im sure there are those who dont like him for the reason your propose, but to throw this blanket statement on all fans who dont like him is not fair.

    Im not a fan and it has nothing to do with race. I dont like plenty of white athletes for the same reasons.
