Good post Vytosky. I didn't realize that Valuev did NOT pick up the vacated title in a fight. But yeah wtf is that?

Chagaev beat Valuev in April of 07, then defended his title vs Skelton and CD Drummond in 08 and 09. He vacated his title, according to some, when he signed to fight Wlad in a unification bout after Drummond.

However, somehow, Valuev and Ruiz fought for the vacant title while Chagaev was defending it between those two guys. I guess Chagaev may have been ordered to fight Valuev or whatever but for some unknown reason, they had stripped him and allowed Valuev and Ruiz to fight over his belt and defend it simultaneously while Chagaev was still active:huh

So during 08/09 they technically had two titlists simulataneously holding their version of the belt, and somehow I guess they figured Valuev was the true champion when Chagaev fought Wlad. :---(
