It's in just about every article on the subject when the "call out" and floyd's phone call to pacman were in the news. Mayweather wouldn't agree to a 50-50 split. It's the fundamental flaw with Mayweather's calling out of Pacman. He knew Pac would never accept it and then goes and twats about it all over the internet trying to make it sounds like Pac is ducking him. Then he goes and signs with Cotto - another sure-thing win.
*****s: but pac said he would accept a lower split to make the fight. pac should have accepted the generous offer of $40M w/ no PPV upside since pac had only received $7M max earning according to our boy floydie. **** 50/50, it's not fair.
the "phone call" was typical Money Mayweather antics the dude is flamboyant and the phone call was some sort of way to puff his peacock feathers like he runs things. Calling Manny on the phone with his BS, slap in the face offer and wanting to be acknowledged by Manny to stroke his own ego since the convo was no more than 2 minutes, Floyd just wanted to exorcise some demons - maybe to make up for that quiver in his voice when he was "Manny Pacquiao - youre next!" lmao its all bait and switch, its part of the culture, when he's not internet thuggin he's telephone thuggin
if you were Bob Arum, would you let Floyd get away with anything other than a 50-50 split? blame Arum all you want (seems like every sportswriter's automatic response), but you have to acknowledge that Floyd never made a fair offer.
Arum made every excuse in the book. He also would not give Manny the 50 mil upfront money Manny wanted :hi:
dont duck what I just said why are you talking about Floyds offer? Talk about Arums offer to Manny :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl. Arum is Manny's promoter right? Manny wanted 50 mil upfront plus PPV Arum would not give that to him :rofl:rofl:rofl.
I brought up my point first, which means you're ducking me. Floyd want's a majority of the purse which, at this point, proves that he either has no concept of reality or doesn't want to make the fight happen. I suspect the latter. See how he went around tweeting that Pac is ducking him? That's called OVERCOMPENSATING. It's something people with ego problems do to hide something about themselves that they don't want others to discover.
You *******s in full damage control I see- Fight wasn't made cuz Pac didn't own up to what he said he would- Manny Pacquiao said he'd take the lesser split-when it came down to it, he tried to pull that $hit he pulled on GBP and Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya-HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE LESS THAN HE'D REALLY TAKE-Pac was also offered money on the back end as you'll find out in Cotto-Mayweather 24/7. Floyd averages 1,405,000 Pac averages 1,165,000 since fighting De La Hoya, who is the common factor, where both men's careers changed in terms of producing revenue.
Pac said on his phone call with floyd that he wanted 50-50. floyd said no. How could you ever justify that an even split isn't a given in order to make this fight happen?
pac has more ppv buys than may. mays average is higher cos he fights less. If mayweather fought aas often as pac, he'd have a higher total number, but his average would be less. Because his fights wouldn't be as big an event as they are now, due to him fighting so infrequently
speculation-:deal..the numbers are what they are man-u can twist em-but best believe they won't bring that bs up in negotiations... It took Pac 7 fights to do what Floyd did in 5.:deal..Floyd fought 2 times witin a year-Shane and JMM and you saw the numbers Oscar and Hatton and the average there is very very nice...NOT THE NFL-YEARLY TOTALS ARE FALSE...They aren't gonna go by yearly totals- They are going to go by the AVERAGE PPV buys since a COMMON FACTOR- You think they don't have a revenue formula? You think they are going to steer away from that revenue formula?:think..partially maybe-but none the less it is going to be a factor in negotiations.
i would have expected more effort and patience in negotiations since it was the fight floyd has been hinting about since nov of the previous year.
For the record, Floyd's PPV will be higher than usual for his coming fight because people will be watching Cotto and Alvarez fight. The buyers won't give a rats ass about Floyd.
