can't get enought of the BS being posted here and other stuffs i read about the reason why floyd picked maidana. the real reason is.. fighting Maidana in May is the best time to fight the guy.. if Mayweather passes on him GBP may feed him to guys like Thurman, Porter or even Collazo.. all of those fighters will beat Maidana.. but Khan on the other hand, can get a signature win around the same time May or April then they can get the fight done with Amir on Sept or later this year. it's all about business.. they are not just focusing on Floyd's next fight but they have their eyes on floyd's 2nd fight in 2014. so basically. it's the perfect timing to fight Maidana. Khan is a future opponent (if he avoids getting KOd again) So please.. stop with the all the BS
would be interesting to see whether khan fights in september. ramadan finishes 29th of july. and if mayweather didnt fight maidana, i think maidana would have been fighting broner. i dont think they had floyds next opponent in mind when making this decision, they just wanted most lucrative opponent for this time round.
Don't discount the possibility that Floyd is fighting him so Broner isn't pressured into rematching him.
The reason is because Khan is not very popular in Britain and no one really likes him.Maidana beat Lionel Messi to sports personality of the year and is hugely popular over there in Argentina. The odds are that Floyds team were trying to get the best tv deal overseas.Its purely about money,popularity =money. Khan has damaged his legacy by begging to fight floyd.No reason not to fight in December and then May.Khan won't ever fight Floyd now.
i would suggest khan to fight porter.. dont think about it as a dangerous fight.. come in confident and in his best shape and i think he can beat porter
This is a high risk/high reward fight IMO. Porter is a dangerous fighter for Khan but I feel Khan if given the right game plan and is focused can win but its also a fight he can easily lose. But the incentive to fight Porter is much greater than any incentive from fighting another opponent. He can defeat Porter, get his belt and then have something of merit going into the Mayweather fight. This is do or die for Khan. If he fights Brook, he gets a high pay day but he fights in europe, he can just easily lose to Brook as he would Porter but he doesnt get a belt or a path to fight Floyd by fighting Brook. IMO
haymon. of their guaranteed purse, haymon get's 27% off of floyd and probly 30% off of maidana. ....maybe khan need to sign with haymon.
