Frazier was a one handed puncher, not one handed literally. His right didn't carry the same power as his left.

I never said Shavers would beat Foreman, I said he might beat Frazier, though I wouldn't overtly count on it. This is the issue with that Foreman fight, it devalued him somewhat.

It's not that I have some Prejudice against Frazier, he wasn't at his best and obviously he played perfectly into Foremans hands and didn't even bother adjusting til the next fight, but by then was far too washed. But it's still just something I can't see happening to any other ATG. Even someone like Wlad would box Foremans head off for a few rounds before Foreman connects. And someone like Dempsey or Marciano would have early flashes of success and wouldn't go down 3 times in the first round. Even Ken Norton did better against Foreman, and Foreman was made to destroy Norton

It's just objectively a devaluing performance. If it was something like Foreman vs Chuvalo, it wouldn't be as bad. I get that you like Joe Frazier, but it's a really bad stain

Frazier being one-handed is just the most patently disprovable myth. He had one signature punch upstairs is what people really mean to say. His two-fisted body attack was savagely devastating, & the film is there in spades.

We will have to disagree that Foreman could do that to no one else great, especially if consideration is given that Foreman is a vastly under-estimated challenger to a complacent Marciano, Dempsey, Tyson…really any of these short, onrushing champs would get done on their best night, let alone taking Foreman as lightly as Frazier did.

I agree. Foreman would do worse to a prime Marciano…. Let alone one past prime and somewhat diminished.

Those are the most interesting ones. Not so much the WTF upsets, but the high profile fantasy type match-ups where the outcome just wouldn’t follow a reasoned analysis. There was obviously an argument for Sanchez winning, but the one-sided drubbing where Sanchez looked like the bomber rather than the guy with a near 100% ko ratio was a shock.
