I agree with Dan minus the ridiculous implication that because GBP had options on Molina, they'd be happy either way. They're counting on many years of having Kirkland as one of their carefully managed cashcows.

Exposed as what? What did you think he was before hand? The kid got battered in the 10th, face ****ed up, mouth bleeding profusly, legs gone, and chances are he wasn't making it the full 12 regardless of DQ. Which simply showed what most in the know already knew, Kirkland isnt a great boxer but he's a helluva fighter. His stamina was good, power was good, and when the moment came he delivered on that. No more no less, I don't think winning a decision was part of the plan.

As usual, you didn't present anything to argue against.

Your stance is that since you thought Molina was winning the fight, basic and simple rules should be ignored.

    Nice logic....:good

In addition to the No Contest ruling, Team Molina will petition the WBC for an immediate rematch. Luis DeCubas, Molina’s advisor stated, “I’m sure Golden Boy Promotions (Kirkland’s promoter) will agree with me that an immediate rematch is warranted. I remember their great concern for the improper actions of ringsiders after Amir Khan lost to Lamont Peterson, so watching the tape and seeing the obvious influence on the situation exerted by their matchmaker Eric Gomez, who was standing behind the ringside officials shouting at them to disqualify Molina… they must be mortified by his actions and in search of an immediate rectification.”

Yes I did, read my previous post.

I never said Molina being up on the scorecards was a driving factor behind the need to use common sense (i.e. spirit of the law vs letter of the law). Schorle never warned Molina for holding yet got hung up on a 1.5 sec technicality after speaking with Golden Boy staff. Never said rules should be ignored.

You're defeated, Keith. 98% of ESB + the entire boxing world thinks your nazi points are garbage. Just admit it, old man. :good

LOL at people thinking Molina was hurt by the knockdown.
If you look at the 12:30 mark of the video you can see that Molina's head got tangled by the top rope when he went into it.
Molina was off balance coming off those ropes because the top of his head it the underside of the top rope.
You can clearly see Molina struggling to get his head underneath the top rope which put him off balance coming off of them, and it was then that Kirkland landed the shot that put Molina down.

Imo Molina was'nt hurt, he went down because he was already off balance when he got hit.
In slow motion you can clearly see it. In real time it happened really fast it is'nt noticeable.

    Defeated......?

Odd choice of words. Since when i look in the record books it says Kirkland won and Molina lost.

And yes you said the rules should be ignored. Semantical games don't work with me. If you say that Molina should not be dq, then you are saying the rules should be ignored.

    Sorry your guy lost........

I agree with most of Dan's diatribe except the knockdown part. It was a clean knockdown. Even so, Molina is a dirty fighter who breeds contempt. He's a ****ing cockroacha, like John Ruiz.

Is that the only time you've seen him, Sis?

Nobody on ESB was complaining about Molina's style or holding excessively against Cintron or Lara. Yet now we get sweeping statements about how his style in general is awful to watch. Couldn't maybe have anything to do with just that specific match-up of an orthodox fighter who uses in and out movement vs. a full-steam-ahead southpaw juggernaut? :think

    :rofl

Let it go dude. Molina is not "my guy", I never said he should have won, and never said the rules should be ignored. You have no common sense. None.
