Fair enough but if I was such a big Dawson fan I'd want him to fight Hopkins anyway as beating him would be more of a statement than the others, besides Calzaghe of course.

Dawson is much higher P4P than Kessler is. :good

He is also an HBO/Showtime darling, about to make his HBO debut.

Kessler wishes he could say the same.

You are right, it could be an attention-grabbing win to be sure.

Folks, I said realistic fights. And I specified Calzaghe and Kessler no longer fall in that category.

    Hopkins, maaaayyyybe.

Let's hear some different picks. :good

You gave Kessler as a possible realistic opponent.

After Palle's comments, how realsitic do you think that match is for 2009?

I just wanna see him fight and get better. He has potential but he hasnt peaked yet. I'd like to see him demolish Kessler though. Officially end that hype job for good.

As both were open for march it was possible. But Tarver is using his rematch clause.

I would like to see him fight some unification fights, try to clean out the division. Calzague, RJ and BHop are very long shots, those vets don't want any part of a young talented stud like Chad.

He should have petitioned the WBC to give him some special situation, so he could regain the full WBC belt later.

Well, realistically he will be fighting Tarver bcause of a rematch clause and then he will have to fight T. Cloud or vacate.

The LHW division is looking rather poor for the near future.

I think a move up 25 pounds for somebody who has fought at middleweight is probably the most unrealistic possibility of all. Much more unrealitic than a Kessler fight.

But I think Dawson's next couple of fights will be at LHW, against 175-pounders. Anything against Diaconu, Johnson (especially the winner of their if they fight), Cloud or Hopkins would be on my wish list.

As long as we avoid Tarver or Jones, I'm OK with it.

Of course, unfortunately, Tarver is easily the most likely possibility.

He could fight for a CW belt at a catchweight. A small CW like Adamek could cut down
