Realistically i'd say he's capable of being at the same level he's at now for another couple of years, a bit optimistic maybe but we all know just how well he lives outside the ring. I see no reason why he can't still be at a similar stage to Hopkins in 4-5 years though. Where he's not really capable of living with the truly world class but he's still too much for the fring e world level fighters and the paper champs.

If he beats Kessler I hope he takes the mandatory defence against Stevenson then maybe looks to move up if Ward won't come to the UK. Go for Hopkins or Pascal then come home for a domestic clash with Groves or Cleverly. So maybe 4 or 5 fights left go out on a win after a big domestic PPV after fighting Anyone anywhere and ducked no one. Give all his mandatories and domestic challengers a go at him and retire happy. He beats Kessler then Stevenson Hopkins, pascal and Cleverly and Groves his record is better than Calzaghes by some distance

I think Carl can in theory go on for a few mor years but there a few determining factors. I think it depends if he loses again and in what manner. I think it will get to a stage where he has proven his point and fought all comers and there is nothing left out there for him.

I think in theory he could go on until 40 but with young children, and potential demoralising losses he may decide to call it a day before then. I. Hope he stays on for as long as possible though.

I would speculate he's got two fights left at the optimal level he's at now, then I'd expect an obvious steady decline.

3-4 fights at his best max - will prob fight 5 or 6 with the last 2 being for the cash alone and pack it in.

Jack,if he fought all 5 opponents you mentioned,it would be interesting, but tough.Plus IMO unlikely to happen. They could all possibly beat him especially,I think,Hopkins and Cleverly. As you stated and I also said,Stevenson would be a good one next but where we disagree is I think he should stop then.Always assuming he gets past Kessler.
