I know he's too small for Jr Middle, and he honestly could be fighting at 140.

(Lucas, Garcia both had fight night weigh ins of 150 in their fights, same as Floyd just fighting 2 divisions apart )

BUT. Hypothetically speaking, how would he do at Middleweight. Who would he beat, who would he lose to?

    In your opinion? Im curious.

he wont do well, thats why there are Weight divisions, am sure he could become a contender but he wont become a champion

I can see him beating Maclin, Rosado, and MAYBE outboxing Kid Chocolate to a UD. If he doesnt get caught by one of those hooks.

I dont want him to go to 160 either, I was just talking hypothetically.

No he wont beat any of them - although he has a chance vs Rosada, but for him to beat macklin, he has to be shot since the GGG fight if not, its bad news for Floyd, just watch his sturm fight and the pressure he can put on, Qullin would land atleast one, and he would take out Floyd no doubt, remember theres like a 20 pound weight difference come fight night

I think if it goes the distance then it will be Mayweather's kind of fight and he could do it but the likelihood is that the top guys would stop him.

Floyd is a good sized welterweight, 160 would be a step to far(unless Cotto does the business against Martinez).

True, but he's dealt with 15 LB weight advantage his whole career. But maybe you're right, 160 is too far. And im not doubting Macklins pressure ability, Im merely stating that maybe Floyd could stay away from it for some rounds. But 160 is probably too far.

Agreed, Floyd has grown into the weights as he's moved up and is a decent sized welterweight (not an undersized one as a lot of people claim).

That being said, he is too small for MW and his big hope of getting a belt at the weight is if Martinez had got old or more fragile overnight or if Cotto beats Martinez since Cotto is nowhere near a natural MW either.

Don't think he couldn't, just didn't want to.

I can tell you this he beat Peter Quillin, but he is to small for MW prime Sergio beats him as does GGG, even JCCjr would beat him because he is near cruiserweight fight night, as someone wrote thats why there are weigh classes.

I noticed that, he looked like he could have easily made weight, but his ego and his wallet thought otherwise.

golovkin would bully him and force him onto to the ropes at will. martinez would land a huge bomb that mayweather never saw coming, i think martinez could stop him early. quillin wouldn't try that pittypat stuff canelo pulled, he would bring a tough fight to floyd.

he will bring his IQ wherever he goes so he wont suddenly look terrible but at 160 against such big guys who outweigh floyd drastically (remembering of course floyd can easily compete at 140) he would likely lose to a good fighter like GGG
