Realistically when should we expect Mayweather to announce his next fight

I agree, seems the right time. Someone needs to do something big and make us believe they can beat mayweather. Right now I can't think of anyone that will produce enough interest before then, so his next fight they will have to fabricate hype persay Guerrero.

 

It will be just before the Pac fight so that he can avoid him in May

 

I think the PAC fight would make most money at the moment he should take it (providing he beats Rios).

 

november/december i would say.. i hope around december after the pac fight .

 

If Khan beats Alexander then it's a safe bet he will be Mayweathers opponent in May.

If he loses then it's between Danny Garcia, Maidana(if he beats Broner), Tim Bradley(if he beats Marquez, unlikely due to Toprank) and Pac(If he beats Rios, again very unlikely due to Toprank).

 

Late December/early January seems about right. He'll first mention the "shortlist" of fighters that'll have the opportunity to fight him than he'll make the final call soon afterwards. I just hope it's not the winner of Khan/Alexander. Both of those fighters are very undeserving for a matchup with FLoyd, especially Amir. He doesn't deserve that fight whatsoever based on his body of work the last 2 years.

 

i say january at the latest. the new deal with showtime is keeping the pressure on him to make big fights. i think it'll be khan because of khan's following. garcia would be next if i had to guess. i'd love to see mayweather-martinez next for the record.

 

he has what 3 fights left on his contract? he should try and wrap those 3 fights up within the next year, even though he is still looking sharp he is getting older and gets "injured" in every fight. he seems to be breaking down a la sergio martinez.

 

he has four fights left on the contract but my guess is that he'll be fighting every may 5th (cinco de mayo) and sept 18th (mexican independence day) for the next two years. i agree with you that the sooner the better for these fights but that won't happen.

 

Remember when floyd chased pac trying to sign the fight from nov 2011 till late feb of 2012 pushing back his sentence.... Bob arum made the most pathetic excuses... May wenton to fight ortiz

Pac wants the fight more then ever and floyd wants money whic he knows he can earn fighting pac

 

Enjoy his fall/winter, come back next year ready to go.
