Other than the fact Floyd and Manny couldn't reach an agreement, it is clear as daylight that the reason Floyd has been inactive since the Mosely fight, is due to the impending court case that he and his uncle are involved in. So, realistically if he is to fight again when do people see it happening?

Im not sure he does, and if he does fight again it has to be against one man , and we all know who that is.

Sometime in the middle of next year, against Amir Khan. That's my best guess.

  4. realistically hes not going to fight again , theres to much goin on in his personal life for him to step in the ring again , hes also slowed down alot so theres no reason for him to do so , Floyd is the greatest of his era hes been boxing for 15 years if he doesnt get back in the ring all we can do is respect that , and people can say ahhh he didnt want to fight pacquiao but the fact is floyd is a superior boxer to pacquiao and he would woop the guys ass .

Nah, dude. Khan's handlers will not, and should not, allow him to step in with Mayweather so soon. If that fight is to be made, it'll be early to mid 2012 (providing Khan keeps on winning).

I think Floyd's return will depend a lot on how his court-case goes. If he gets off lightly - which he probably will - he may be back in April/May time. But he's too unpredictable and we're not in a good postion to judge. And if you go by Floyd Senior's comments, he might not even fight at all!

He will never fight again. When he said in that video earlier this year, that he was planning to retire from the sport for a year or two, and nobody believed him. I think he was being serious.

i honestly dont think his court case will go easy on him, im from the uk and the us law seems very strict relatively aka wesley snipes. i believe mayweather has 3/4 options, obviously pacquiao, martinez, amir khan in the uk (btw amazing fight due to being able to pack out 100,000 in wembley) or possibly dlh re-match which mayweather has always said is on the cards

In the summer or around November next year at earliest. I do hope he fights again but I think he's getting sent down in January.

mayweather will fight again but will take the most financial and safest option out there for him, like all good business men would do. kahn to me makes the most sense high money low risk. i think there is more chance of him giving his missus a rematch than fighting pac.

Khan's handler (Shaefer) already said he wanted to match Khan against Floyd this upcoming year. I think Floyd would love the fight because it gives him the chance to beat up Roach's top guy other than Manny.

I think we've seen the last of Floyd. I believe he doesnt want to fight anymore, and that he only hasnt announced the finality of retirement as he cant bear not to have attention.

He's been fighting less and less over the last 5 years and with his legal troubles, I honestly think his last fight was JMM.

Realistically. He's going to settle his legal bs first and foremost. THEN if that goes well and Pacquiao still refuses to do the testing, he will fight Sergio Martinez @ 154, or Andre Berto @ 147. Amir Kahn, Saul Alvarez, & maybe Bradley or Alexander could be further down the line. Erik Morales (if he plans on moving up to fight Pacquiao @ 147... Which will be ignored by Team Pacquiao) is also out there.

I can see Floyd taking any of these fights. With Bradley or Alexander being the 2 non cash fights least likely to happen. Kahn & Alvarez are building huge fan bases. People will criticize him for taking any fight not Pacquiao, but how is that pressure to Floyd if it happens EVERYTIME he fights. It's like okay, you're gonna talk **** about me, what else is new lol.

While Pacquiao is just gonna continue to beat up Top Ranks roster till they have no one left. No one wants to See Pac vs Cotto 3 or Pac vs Margarito & Cotto Tag Team. They can't stay in house forever. This blackballing that they're doing is going to backfire eventually.
