souwer did(in my opinion) get beat by buakaw, that is in part why he had nothing to offer in return for the beating he took in his next fight. andy souwer is a tough ******* though to not get stopped from the some of the shots he took, like that knee form petrosyan in the first round. Souwer really has some balls, he has been fighting since the age of 8 years old, and I have never seen him handled the way petro did. buakaw got robbed against souwer twice in my oppinon, K-1 better go and find some good comp for petro otherwise the usual excitement of k-1 max will be lost. I have no doubt giorgio will run right through the current k-1 max line up, but Sadaharu Tanikawa better be finding more suitable competition for next year.
No one in the current GP will, I don't think. Buakaw I think has the best chance of beating him, considering that they have fought to a draw before. unfinished business there. As for Souwer, well, he took him to an extra round first time but was utterly destroyed the second time, although he was coming off a hard fight with Buakaw. Even as a Souwer fan I'd say Petrosyan has his number.
outside of k1 do you think anyone has a chance, under k-1 rules of course. it isnt proven yet but under the current ruleset of k-1 I dont know of anyone outside of buakaw himself that has a real chance of beating petro.
The best fighters under K-1 rules are already in K-1 so no, not really. Buakaw at the moment is the only guy I would have at least even with Petro going in. Under Muay Thai rules it could be different I suppose. Having said all this, I think we should be a bit careful, someone will beat him eventually. Kickboxing is far to unpredictable as a sport for someone to go undefeated for too long.
He probabley will lose in the end but right now its looking like its going to need to be either by KO or an injury/underperformance. As far as Buakaw goes I think Petro's boxing is signifcantly better now than it was for their draw.
Petro went and did it again. though I didnt see the first round of the petro vs zambo fight, it seemed clear petrosyan is a step above his competition which were far from pushovers. Kraus, zambidis, and sato are tough guys, petro was just better. petrosyan is young has a lot of expereince and even seems to have a durable chin, their is a ton of competition out their for him, hopefully we will really see him tested in his next fight.
