Seriously speaking what does Usyk even do better than Crawford on a pound for pound level?

I guess chin, defense (slightly) and ability to come forward

Reasons why Crawford is better than Usyk:

Who he beat, the fashion he beat them in, better physical abilities (pound for pound wise)

Reasons why Usyk is better than Crawford:

Amateur record, fighting on away soil, being able to win in spite of non Ukrainian judges

Its just something that fans say to make their guy the best. Same with fighting on away soil or the amateurs

If Crawford beats Mexican Monster or Beterbiev I’ll rank him above Usyk. I would say Crawfords win over Canelo is similar to Usyks wins over AJ. He needs to have those Fury like wins against a behemoth of a man like the Mexican Monster to be in contention with Usyk. Someone like Janibek isn’t cutting it that’s like a Gassiev level win on Usyks resume.

What do you guys think @CST80 @Serge

You are missing the negative, though. Every time Usyk sets foot on foreign soil, he is taking the chance of being robbed, and indeed, in Joshua II, Fury I, Bellew and Chisora, we say judges give his opponents more rounds than they deserved.

Haven't got a dog in the fight, though. They are both great, so all good to me.

Janibek is better than Gassiev, he's a weight bully like Gassiev but the difference in skill is vast. History will prove me correct, that dudes a nightmarish middleweight to come across, he's bigger than Bivol and will probably win titles all the way up to light heavyweight

Sure but Usyk has yet to be robbed. If he is than we can argue it shouldn't count vis a vis Crawford

    Crawford doesn't need the judges.

Nothing. He's not even better out of the southpaw stance.

Crawford is 180lb. He isn't weight slaying. Usyk has been significantly outweighed for the past 5 years. When Crawford beats Benavidez & Opetaia he can call himself P4P.

Opetaia ? Really ? Opetaia is naturally 225lb, Jai in his current form would beat multiple top heavyweights now. Crawford beats Opetaia and he is the greatest boxer of all time. Usyks resume would be FAR surpassed if Bud managed to dethrone someone like Opetaia, Crawford would surpass Robinson, Greb, Pacquiao, etc if he managed that feat. You people are ridiculous

    Opetaia would knock Crawford out.

Of course he does, if Bud beat Opetaia thats the greatest feat in the history of boxing, Usyk would not comparable in that hypothetical scenario, Crawford winning is not realistic at all, that gap has never been overcome in the history of the sport. Usyk is being overrated
