Really miss Andre Son Of God Ward's style of fighting, you just don't see that style nowadays.

He was one of those guys I always wanted to see lose. I actually like him a little better now in retirement. In all honesty, he seems like a good guy, and I definitely have nothing against him personally. I just didn’t like his dirty fighting tactics, the fact he would never leave Oakland, favorable judging, and his boring fighting style.

    > Was going to face Joshua but didn't have anything else to prove and when he'd beaten Joshua, they would have just said, ''Okay, Dre, fight Fury then''. It never would have ended.
    > For people who say he didn't have the power to campaign at HW: Only man to Break Paul Smith's nose. Nobody had ever broken Smith's nose and he'd been boxing a long time and faced KO artists like Groves and Abraham.

Why does Calzaghe make you so insecure?
This thread is nothing about him, yet you bring him up.
What have I even said on this thread that indicated anything about any other fighter besides ward and the opponent who I think was arguably his best win?

As from the 7 minutes movie clip at the beginning of that thread I don't think there are 30 seconds with Ward showing something nice. It was almost an impossible task to find something not to be boring even for those 30 seconds. Therefore even if I respect what he accomplished I don't miss him at all...

You miss him? I agree no current fighter is as proficient at low blows, elbows, wrestling and fighting dirty in the style Ward perfected. Just pretend he’s taking a long break between fights. Shouldn’t be hard to do as Ward took long breaks when he fought. Most overrated fighter IMO. Wish he would have defended the belt against Beterbiev but Ward was no dummy. He knew when to cut and run...I mean, retire.
