Just curious. Maidana can box on the same level with Khan, and Ortiz(the best boxers at 140 imo). Along with that he has a good chin and is probably the most devastating puncher at 140 just ahead of Holt and Ortiz.

The guy is a true warrior and credit to the sport. Whoever his next big fight is expect Maidana to blow them out of the water. For me there is Maidana and then everyone else. The guy made Ortiz contemplate quitting the sport. No wonder nobody wants to fight him.

It just seems ignorant to sweep a guy like Maidana under the rug just because A meer con, and Bradley want nothing to do with him.

Maidana can box on the same level as Khan? Based on what.

Victor Cayo was outboxing Maidana for **** sake.

Maidana is one of the best - but not one of the best boxers!

    Based on what?
Gee I don't know how about beating the living **** out of a comparably skilled boxer in Victor Ortiz. Infact in terms of boxing ability I would rate Khan and Ortiz about evenly.

Cayo? You mean the same Cayo that Maidana dropped in the second round? The same Cayo that later would be dropped by a sweet body shot?

Yea, you got it limey fanboy. Maidana was just getting cleanly outboxed, then all out of nowhere Cayo has a sharp pain in his liver and drops to the canvas. The devastating body punch really had nothing to do with it.:nut

Just because he chooses to bang doesnt mean he isn't a good boxer. He merely chooses not to. He uses the knowledge of a great boxer to take them down, one by one.

I used to think Maidana is just going to be a one hit wonder like Presscot. But Maidana's stock rose last night, he was competitive and arguably won against Kotelnik in Germany whereas Alexander got schooled in his own hometown and got a gift.

. Victor ortiz? What BOXING ABILITY Did he show? He was just slugging it out not using his BRAIN at all.

It's nothing to do with the body ****. Maidana won yes. Cayo was STILL outboxing him AT TIMES.

How does knocking someone out just mean he's the better Boxer? He was the better fighter, but NOT a better boxer. Hope that goes into your head now.

Maidana's boxing ability doesn't even touch guys like Bradley and Khan's.

dude, its a boxing match and Maidana beat Cayo handily.

You have a ****ed up definition of the word boxer. Maidana has a better record than Cayo AND beat him in a boxing match, yet you still think Cayo is a better boxer.

    WOW!

You honestly rate Bradleys boxing ability? The guy can't box for **** man....

The fundamental mistakes Bradley makes are appalling really, along with that Bradley is a pillow punching ******.

Maidana is extremely adept at forcing a boxer into his fight. Maidana will also allow his opponent to box for abit while he mentally times them before putting them to bed. In this respect Maidana at times can appear wizardlike. Great sense of timing, distance, and movement are all good qualities that many claimed "good fighters" don't have

Alexander, Bradley and Khan can outbox him...but Maidana can even it out with his power. If they can't keep him away, because he will keep coming for 12 rounds...they could be in trouble.

He means technical ability rather than the braod "boxer", but Maidana isn't that type of fighter. He isn't even going to try and box most in most fights.

The definition of boxer isn't as simple as that...there are too many styles in boxing to have just one simple definition like that. Maidana isn't known for his technical boxing ability and can be outboxed...I think thats what Lazarus is trying to get across.
